Venus Williams, will not be ready in time for the AO in 2024, still recovering from an sustained injury from Wimbledon, but plans to make a comeback on home soil in Spring, in time for the North American tournaments IW and Miami.

There are break up rumors that Naomi Osaka is a single mum, her recent instagram captions hint that she and her BF and baby daddy Cordae are going through a rough patch or have broken up ( Osaka's instagram account no longer features any pictures of the pair together).
Osaka currently on maternity leave is planning to return to the WTA Tour in January 2024.

Angie Kerber has confirmed she will represent Germany in the United Cup December 29- Jan 7th 2024, alongside Alexander Zverev. then she will head to play in the WTA500 Adelaide International Jan 8-13 2024.
Interesting updates thanks MM

Maternity leave? They’re self employed, no? The article is behind a paywall so I didn’t see an explanation for that…
The issues can be found here in this ESPN article: https://www.espn.com/tennis/story/_/id/38798264/iga-swiatek-players-united-seeking-changes-wta

The WTA really dropped the ball on the fall schedule and WTA Finals in 2022 and 2023. The funny thing is that they had it perfect in the first half of the 1990s. The fall schedule has gotten progressively worse since Virginia Slims stopped being the sponsor (except for 2020 and 2021). If the WTA does not want to put on meaningful tournaments during the fall, then they should just put the WTA Finals following the US Open in September, and let October be the offseason month. As it is, having the WTA Finals in November interferes with the BJK Cup. I can't believe the WTA allowed itself to squander the opportunity to capitalize off the momentum of Coco Gauff's US Open.

Interesting read, thanks! Still not sure what moves the WTA can make regarding income and maternity leave, but the issues of scheduling and sponsorship have certainly cast a shadow over their year end event..

I got home from work 1/2 an hour ago and have been watching the doubles, I am not surprised Czech team on their day are hard to beat, also why did Collins play doubles tie? I dont remember her as a doubles player,
That means Czech advance to the SFs

IDK but Shanda said that Collins had been playing more doubles. Well today at the net she had hands of stone at times but they lost as a team. Taylor's left handed service was not working meaning she couldn't pull the Czechs off the court.

Thanks, oh well USO out as Czech has made the SFs, the Czech team at the net were far too good for team USA in the doubles
