I think the biggest problem with Maria is that she plays only one way and doesn't have a plan B. This is okay against low level competition, but it rarely ever works against the top players, especially in quarters, semis, and finals.

One thing is that Coco keeps Brad Gilbert on board in her coaching team, you can see the small improvements in her game already she is more committed to hitting the ball,and being aggressive, not relying on her defense skills

This must be heartbreaking for Maria.How long can she go on losing in finals,and she is not getting any younger.The match that disappointed me the most was the semi at RG that she lost that year.
