A Parks just CAN'T get it going to the next level yet this year..that tells me she needs a coaching change

Well she won a tournament indoors, I thought the conditions in Stuggart would suit her better, though Zheng is a very young talented player, she gets to play Swiatek next :)

C.Bucsa (5) d T.Korpatsch (6) 36 64 60

The 5 seed beating the 6 seed. I guess this is a foreshadowing to Coco Gauff beating Elena Rybakina in the Stuggart final!

Dont get ahead of yourself, Coco has to play Kudermetova in her first rd match? their only meeting was in Doha this year, Veronika winning in 3 sets, 62 36 61

Coco Gauff said in an interview, she will look for a new coach after the clay court season, after Diego Moyano, ended their partnership, amicably due to personal reasons at the end of Miami tournament recently.
Gauff will tackle the clay court season with her father Cori, back in the primary coaching role.

Does this mean Coco will be holding up that trophy on Ashe the Saturday after Labor Day? If so, I'm going to start buying my tickets to the US Open final.

In Stuttgart today, the one player that stood out to me has been Paula Badosa, Paula was injured early this year, had to withdraw from the AO, gradually has found her game, she dismissed 7th seed Kasatkina 61 61, I must say Daria come out 'flat as a tack', though to Paula's credit she never let Daria into the match., this her first Top 10 win since she beat Jabeur at this tournament last year.
Some other results to date,
B.Haddad Maia won by retirement over M.Trevisan 75 1 all
A.Potapova d P.Martic (Q) 63 36 76(4)
Emma Raducanu was found wanting in her match against Jelena, really needs more practice on clay courts,, she was given a WC for Stuggart and Ostapenko made quick work in this match defeating Raducanu 62 61in 59 mins

Emma Raducanu is now 83 in the live ranking. She is no longer a 'newbie' and this has to be a concern. Emma now has lost 3 straight games in 2023.
Quite frankly I don't think these WCs are giving Emma any favors. She needs to play qualies and try to get some match play.

Coco's game is a mess. Why she can't focus at crunch time and bring her best 4 serves/points is beyond me. As a player, you need to have 4-5 go to constructed points that you practice when it's time to close.

this whole match is a hot mess. Coco w/ 52 errors and Veronika w/ 73 and the decider isn't over yet. SIGH***
I could not watch the whole match...as it was 'doing my head in' lol!
Coco needs to go back to basic ' how to construct a point'
Coco wins in 3 sets. 62 36 76(3)

The indoor conditions suited Pliskova's game with a SS victory over Maria Sakkari 62 63
Sakkari apparently was sick, and had no practice before Stuttgart, still she has work to do before Madrid and Rome

E.Rybakina d J.Niemeier 75 63, close fought match, I feel these indoor conditions suit Rybakina's overall game.
Rybakina did say after the match, she feels her game suits all surfaces
