Well she is known to be a UFE machine at times, why are you watching her since giving her the flick in favor of Rybakina btw?
Jajaja because it's good Friday and I am just playing it Cool like Lucas Jackson

Of course going to script in this Mess of a Match, Daria served for the match 5-1 and was broken LOL!
What is so astounding is just another pusher, Madison is under Zero pressure to hit winners..it's not like she is playing Sabalenka or Rybakina where's she is pressured to hit winners.

This match is doing my head in, I went for a break and came back to this, Maddison needs to understand "Percentage Tennis' for starters, this is clay tennis, different beast of playing on a HC or grass, Madison needs patience on clay, BTW she is thinking of getting married in Charleston
Madison 35 Winner 58 UFE

Praise The Lord!......this mess of a match is finally over!

Kastakina (3) d Keys (9) 67 (5) 64 62

Seeing Daria's best surface is clay, I am not surprised she won, she will play Jabeur in the SF
Daria has a record on the green clay in Charleston 14-2, this was her first meeting on clay against Keys, Keys had won their previous H2H 8-1.

I don't need to see that brand of tennis anyway! Women just smashing the ball like men isn't worth it for me! It's mindless aggression at its worst!

Defending champion Belinda Bencic defeats Aleaandrova 63 63, she is kind of turning into a decent clay player

BTW Lindsay Davenport said on TC that Belinda split with Turnsanov after Miami? no news of a new coach.

Conditions have changed in this match between Jess and Paula, wind has picked up, Jess is handling the conditions better than Paula who is seems frustrated, Jess just put up a great lob in the windy conditions, Jess won the 1st set 63 and leads 3-1 in the 2nd set
Jess 1st serve has been good today she hasnt lost a point when her first serve is in
Jess will serve for the match 5-4 , a solid game overall, serving well, and handling the windy conditions better than Paula

Of course the minute I typed Jess serving for the match 5-4 has played a solid game overall, served good etc handling the windy conditions better than Paula, she DFs and gets broken? back on serve in the 2nd set, Paula to serve
OMG what a rally and Jess put up a lob and Paula did a Djoko smash right out of the court lol!
Jess had chance to break, Paula stood tough
Jess will serve to force a TB 5-6 for the 2nd set, Paula all of a sudden is handling the windy conditions better
Jess with a good service hold to 15. where was that service game when you were serving for the match at 5-4?
TB for the 2nd set

Pegula (1) d Badosa (12) 63 76(6)
Jess found her best tennis in the t/break when she needed to and she has reached the SF in Charleston for the first time
Positive signs from Badosa this week, playing some of her best tennis so far this season
Pegula will play defending champion Bencic in the SF

An interesting stat ,
All 4 top seeds are in the SF in Charleston
This is the first time of a WTA500 since 2012 Stuttgart: Azarenka, Sharapova, Kvitiva, Radwanska

BTW Jessica Pegula leads the tour with 23 match wins after her QF win in Charleston, moving ahead of Rybakina's 21.

Belinda Bencic's manager Marijn Bal has confirmed that Belinda and Dmitry Tursunov have gone their separate ways.
" Following Miami, Belinda and Dmitry had a different vision on the way forward and therefore mutually decided to end their partnership. There is no timetable for a new coach".

Very cold conditions in Charleston, fans have rugged up
Daria started off very well was up a double break in the 1st set, Ons started poorly, Daria was serving for the 1st set 5-2 and was broken, Ons playing more inside the court and coming to the net more in the later stages of the 1st set.
Play suspended due to rain Daria leading 5-3 1st set

Weather update per the official website Charleston play likely to start around 5.45pm
Players have done their warm up
Play commencing Jabeur to serve 3-5 1st set 15 all
Good recovery from Ons down 2 SP
Daria will serve for a 2nd time for the 1st set 5-4
Broken! Ons comes back from being down 2 breaks of serve 5 all, if only Daria had a good serve
Ons holds to love, this is a different match now
Daria will serve for force a TB in the 1st set
Ons has stormed back to take the 1st set 75, more depth on her ground strokes, Daria meanwhile, her ground strokes too short, playing too passive at times and her serve let her down big time.
