Agree, she has been way too emotional the last couple of tournaments I have watched her playPaula was tearing up. She needs to see a shrink in the off season. She's way too touchy feely these days.
I think @kskate2 is talking about a bigger name coach like Cahill or maybe a former player like Hingis. At this level, the big difference is the mental game. One observation, when Venus and Serena were Coco's age they were both more mentally tougher players. Question during her prime , did anyone ever get a bagel on Serena?Well I did say Wim Fissette would be a great coach for Coco and he is available,
Lord knows she has more money than at her disposal than any other player besides Ernie Gulbis.Paula was tearing up. She needs to see a shrink in the off season. She's way too touchy feely these days.
I dont think so Wim Fissette is one of the leading WTA coaches, he took Osaka to win her GS titles, he is an excellent coach.Kskate agreed with me when I brought up Wim Fissette's name. Cahill is coaching Sinner at present,.Coco needs help on her fhand wing, if you watched the match yesterday Iga just kept attacking Coco's fhand, most players attack it, a good coach will be able to address that area, at present her father cannot help in that area, I dont think Coco has 'mental issues' she is a good fighter.Coco's problems to me are technical.Another thing I will say, I know Coco loves playing doubles, to me she is playing too much doubles, she should concentrate on her singles, not play doubles at every tournament. Coco is in the s/finals in San Diego in doubles.I think @kskate2 is talking about a bigger name coach like Cahill or maybe a former player like Hingis. Interesting. So he left Emma to coach Belinda who hasn't won a slam yet or even reached a final of one.It appears that Belinda Bencic new coach will be Dmitry Tursunov, the pair have been working together in practice ahead of the WTA1000 tournament in Mexico next week.
No, Wim would be good for her. He's led many players to slams and he could definitely help her. She needs a voice outside of her father. Someone w/ experience. Cahill is not the do-all say-all coach for the WTA. There are others who have coached some top players to greatness.I think @kskate2 is talking about a bigger name coach like Cahill or maybe a former player like Hingis. I was surprised, lets see what he can do for the Swiss MissInteresting. So he left Emma to coach Belinda who hasn't won a slam yet or even reached a final of one.
