Paula was tearing up. She needs to see a shrink in the off season. She's way too touchy feely these days.

Well I did say Wim Fissette would be a great coach for Coco and he is available,
I think @kskate2 is talking about a bigger name coach like Cahill or maybe a former player like Hingis. At this level, the big difference is the mental game. One observation, when Venus and Serena were Coco's age they were both more mentally tougher players. Question during her prime , did anyone ever get a bagel on Serena?

Lord knows she has more money than at her disposal than any other player besides Ernie Gulbis.

I dont think so Wim Fissette is one of the leading WTA coaches, he took Osaka to win her GS titles, he is an excellent coach.Kskate agreed with me when I brought up Wim Fissette's name. Cahill is coaching Sinner at present,.Coco needs help on her fhand wing, if you watched the match yesterday Iga just kept attacking Coco's fhand, most players attack it, a good coach will be able to address that area, at present her father cannot help in that area, I dont think Coco has 'mental issues' she is a good fighter.Coco's problems to me are technical.Another thing I will say, I know Coco loves playing doubles, to me she is playing too much doubles, she should concentrate on her singles, not play doubles at every tournament. Coco is in the s/finals in San Diego in doubles.
Some of the players Wim has coached, Azarenka, Clijsters, Halep, Kerber and Osaka.

It appears that Belinda Bencic new coach will be Dmitry Tursunov, the pair have been working together in practice ahead of the WTA1000 tournament in Mexico next week.

Interesting. So he left Emma to coach Belinda who hasn't won a slam yet or even reached a final of one.

No, Wim would be good for her. He's led many players to slams and he could definitely help her. She needs a voice outside of her father. Someone w/ experience. Cahill is not the do-all say-all coach for the WTA. There are others who have coached some top players to greatness.

Play has resumed in the s/final between Swiatek v Pegula after rain suspended the match
Pegula won the 1st set 64
Swiatek has a early break in the 2nd set leads 3-1
The rain delay favored Iga, she cut down on her UFE and won the 2nd set 62, onto a final set we go.

Rain delay again in the last s/final match between Collins v Vekic 1 all in the 1st set.
Match is now under way again after a long rain delay
Vekic has been impressive, using her fhand in this match, though she got broken serving for the 1st set, 6-2, Collins has had to battled hard to hold serve so far in this match, though she did hold tough and broke Vekic serving for the 1st set.
Vekic will have a 2nd chance to serve out the 1st set 5-4, Collins has saved 7 SPs.
After 9 SPs Vekic holds off Collins to win the 1st set 64.

Just like their first match in Miami, this match is going 3 sets,

Vekic's first serve abandoned her when she needed it also some questionable shot selections and Collins who dosent give up a fight, found the rhythm on her 1st serve more in the 2nd set and found more depth on her shots
Collins 64 2nd set

Some showers have arrived players off the court 2 games all 3rd set, Collins serving 30 all, I hope this wont be a 1 hour delay like in the start of the 1st set.

Iga Swaitek must be laughing she had the 1st s/final today, even though there was rain delay, it only happened once.

Okay after a 50 minute rain delay both players are back on court.....2 games all and Collins was serving 30 all before the rain delay

Match is still suspended this is Nuts! I know we cant control the weather, though this is not fair to either player, also one of the them will be in the final tomorrow, if this match ever gets completed tonight in San Diego
It is 7..pm here in Sydney, it would be 1am in San Diego, match is still suspended and no word as yet when the match will be re-scheduled for tomorrow, seeing the final is due to take place in the afternoon.Seeing this is the first tournament WTA in San Diego, officials should have notified by now the re-scheduling of this s/final match, I have checked Twitter as well, no word as yet.
