I think my favorite stat for doubles is Serena and Venus are 14-0 from memory, someone can correct me if that stat is wrong
Right again... :lol6:

Taken straight from Google baby girl:

In singles, Serena has won more Grand Slam titles than any other tennis player in the Open Era, male or female, with 23 of them—including seven Wimbledon titles. But her doubles resume is legendary, too. She has 23 career WTA doubles titles, including 14 majors with her sister, Venus Williams—including six Wimbledons.

I just remember Mary Carillo during the SF AO 2005 match saying “this kid’s better,” and I remember thinking Serena’s going to make you eat those words. Serena sure did shut down Mary and Maria.
I have that on DVD around here somewhere, back when I used to record from my DVR. You are absolutely correct. Carillo could not stop talking about Maria. How she was better than Serena, how she beat her at Wimby, the YEC and was going to claim victory that day. She went on and on about Serena not being fit enough to hang w/ Pova's shots and how raggedy her FH was. Classic Carillo. After the match, Mary went back and showed the highlights of how Serena saved those 3 MPs on her worst shot. I was on the floor rolling. :lulz1:

Berlin Tournament,

Good to see Coco Gauff in her first match on grass win in straight sets over A.L 62 76(2)

Disappointed with Bianca Andreescu in her match against Pliskova, won the 2nd set 62 and had the momentum going into the final set,Bianca tight in the t/breaker, DF, did not help her chances to win, at the wrong time.
Bianca is still in the doubles with Lisicki.......Pliskova won 64 26 76(7)

Yep I saw both matches. Coco rolled in the first and then it got complicated in the 2nd. She was down a break, then served for the match twice only to get broken. Played a really good TB though. Bebe was sloppy when she served for the match at 5-4. Threw in some bad errors and let Pliskobot back in the match. Maybe she's still finding her best form.

Well Bianca is still in the doubles draw, which is good to get practice on the grass.I feel she is a player with all her variety can do well on grass.

I noticed something about the fans in Germany, they would applaud loudly for anyone playing a black player even today with Coco the applaud for the other girl was very louder. It was very noticeable.

I remember thinking if she doesn’t shut up. It was like Maria kiss, kiss, kiss. Serena is in decline, she’s this, she’s that. I don’t think they actually analyzed any tennis aside from when Serena denied those match points. I would have liked to think Mary learned her lesson about brownnosing on live tv that day, but sadly she seemed to get worse when it came to Serena as time passed.

She did get worse. So much so that ESPN gave her the boot and she found her way over to TC

Mary just took any little irrelevant incident with Serena and made it core of her commentary. I know by now she knows the anti-Mary contingent has grown over the years.

Yes she was also let go when she continued attacking Serena while at the winter Olympics in Vancouver .Her attacks were was very personal
Just extremely extraordinary stupid to attack the best American female or male player of all time. If she didn't have John McEnroe carrying her non talented butt to a RG mixed double championship in the late 70s she would NEVER been in the media. If you notice, you NEVER see her ever hitting a tennis ball. There's more qualified tennis servants on this board than that bias heifer.

In the Birmingham Tournament final match of the day had to be suspended due to bad light
B.Haddad Maia vs M.Frech, 1 set each and M.Frech leads 4-2 in the final set, when the match was halted.

I know nothing about Frech, but Haddad Maia has been having an excellent run, of late.
