Looks like they are not exercising SD at this exho in the Czech Republic. There's about 11000 in the stands.

The ATP tour has just issued a ranking plan going from March 2019 to December 2020. DO any of you know if the WTA tour is planning similar rankings?

Still waiting for an official statement from the WTA regarding revamped tennis rankings, though I suspect they will follow the ATP revamped ranking system.

From the AP Press,

China will not stage any international sports for the rest of the year.(apart from the trials ofr the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beiging and the neighboring city of Zhanjiakou). This will affect at least six WTA tennis events, including the WTA Finals in Shenzhen in November.

Just an update from Christopher Clarey per Twitter,

Steve Simon,WTA Chief, tells me it is not clear that China will call off all international sports events, including WTA tournaments for the rest of 2020.He says, despite earlier reports from AP, the decision not yet definitive.

Allow me a little ADD. Sometimes I think you've been a little tired of hitting a wall when you want to se any sport on your PC because you've hit a GEO BLOCKING sign. There is a way around it and it's called using a VPN, which allows you to log on in UK or AUstralia without being there. Not all companies are good but I use one of the best called Express VPN which is efficient and can be used on your mobile too. When you've activated it and run it for the first time you choose the country you want to use and click connect - simple? Here is a link to that where you can try it out FREE for 30 days - not a bad offer i think:

Serena's schedule doesn't allow IMO a lot of match play pre Grand Slam events..I think she should have been playing with the rest of the ladies in SC last month.

Simona Halep
Given the recent rise in Covid19 cases in Romania and my anxieties around international air travel at this time, I have made the tough decision to withdraw from Palermo. I want to thank the tournament director and the Italian ministry of health for all efforts on my behalf

Again a hint to my claim that Halep won't appear in the US Open, and I still guess that many other Europeans are avoiding the US Open too.
