Williams pulled out of Asian Tour (injury)

Is that due to "heart injury" or other parts? :puzzled

Serena has never really played after the Open...she doesnt NEED the money ...her legacy is intact. She equaled Steffi and next year will be her year...she will be so successful beyond belief.2017 is going to be her year believe it or not...
She has nt been to Tokyo in almost a decade...
Serena is busy hobnobbing with prominent fashion designers in Europe and having the time of her life...

http://www.espn.com/espnw/voices/article/17493089/friends-rivals-fans-praise-tennis-legend-serena-williams-35th-birthday.....this is how the world views Serena..the ultimate champion..
Muguruza and Sloane must be so jealous of Williams and cannot contain theirselves..

WTA chief has ideas . I thoroughly hate his first idea (of no-ad scoring, super tie breakers and short matches) and I thoroughly like his second idea (better definition of tourneys, more premier mandatory events).

Did Caroline ever addressed the reason why she didn't challenge the call of the ball that Kerber hit for mstchpoint that was actually out.

They've all made that mistake at some stage. Federer against Nadal with a ball clearly well out.

^^ This opens the door for Konta to get the #8 spot. CSN and Sveta would be the 2 alternates.

Problem is that Konta is not playing this week, and both Carla and Sveta can pass her, and then she's the alternate. Why don't you write about Moscau?

I thought the results of the last week's tournament does not count for the race. Am I wrong?

Yes

Konta is currently in the lead for the last spot, but Suarez Navarro or Kuznetsova will knock her out if one of them wins the Kremlin Cup in Moscow. On top of that, Konta—who has an abdominal injury—has not confirmed whether she will even be fit to play Singapore.

Angelique Kerber, Agnieszka Radwanska, Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova, Garbine Muguruza, Madison Keys and Dominika Cibulkova are the seven players who have qualified for the WTA Finals.

Note that last year, Moscow did count towards the race because it ended on Saturday, while Luxembourg did not because it ended on Sunday. This year, Luxembourg ended on Saturday in order to fix this problem, so now they both count to the 2016 race.

CSN retired, citing wrist issues. Kuz is the only one who can take the spot away from Konta now. Very winnable tournament for Kuz, but we'll see- she's playing the dangerous Alize Cornet at the moment.
