as always Vee saves the day....apparently the russians are hanging out at the airport hoping to be let in.
the way Scone and Keys look at Serena with envy is comical...since that win at AO Scone has not done much and her hate for Serena is real

Sometimes these athletes are asked social questions which they aren't prepared to speak on,,good for Vee..
yes Vee as always is the consummate diplomat...she is reserved but has strong leadership qualities..she knows how to navigate tricky situations...#quietstrength

maybe Chanda Rubin...she was never with the sisters during her time on tour..maybe because she thought she was superior because she came from a well off family..her father was a judge plus Lindsay was her good friend...she was soughta in the Lindsay and Hingis passe.Scone is just plain jealous...she cannot help herself.

Serena doesn't exactly have the most fun draw.

Oh yes.

Here is possible path.

1R - up and coming Daria Gavrilova
2R - Alize cornet who has beaten her 3 times before
3R - Heather or Svitolina
QF - Vinci (USO 15)
SF - Muguraza (RG 16)
F - Kerber (AO 16)

I have met a lot of tennis players at tournaments and at the airports. Chanda wasn't a very pleasant woman nor Mary Jo. All the other players including the Williams sisters, Gaby Sab and Anna Kournikova was extremely nice.

dont worry about Maria Jose Fernandes, she has low self esteem and goes to the extend of bleaching her skin to fit in...remember she is from Dominican Republic and had to change her name to Mary Jo to fit in...she loves pova because thats what she wants to be.
Chanda still doesnt like Serena, even in her commentary she will praise her opponent but will never say a positive thing about Serena.I remember her commentary during a Serena and Vika match, she was very biased against Serena.I remember one match that Chanda won over Serena in LA 2003..the crowd was cheering heavily for her and was booing at Serena...it was a difficult match to watch and it seems like Chanda didnt mind that the crowd was hostile towards Serena.

Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis are parting ways . Both have entered USO, but with different partners.
No more Santina. IMO, people should stick with some bad time instead of immediately calling it quits the moment things go downhill.

Martina to play with Coco and Sania to play with Barbora Strycova.

Trust me on this one.. Hingis can take almost any female pro and make it a successful team.

thats why I am saying that she will be the brain behind the team because we all know that Coco is not a smart tennis player...she hit hard harder as long as the ball stays in..

I think I have come to the conclusion that I hate this next gen group of tennis players both WTA and ATP. They have no sense of pride or fight. It is like the accomplishment of winning a slam or Olympic medal is lost on them, and it doesn't drive them on to at least give it their all.

I'm not even looking for super teens. I will settle for a group of people in their early twenties who have their crap together at least enough to build on their results. Players who at least want to and believe they can win the big titles.
