I just find it fascinating that Sam of all people decide to speak on this matter. I think if Serena is to experience nerves it will be in the later rounds of the open, and Sam certainly won't have a high enough ranking to meet Serena in a round that can induce nerves in Serena. I think if Serena is going to experience nerves it will be from the QF on depending on who she plays.

Serena has not lost to Stosur since that fateful day in NY...and Serena has a long memory ...pova and Azarenka can testify to that...becareful what you wish for Sam.

Genie splits with Sumyk. We all saw this coming. This was a terrible matchup. Still I think Genie's fall started before this, long before this. Wimbledon finals last year ruined her confidence. After that she wasn't getting those big wins anymore. She stopped playing free. I know people have bad opinions of Genie. I guess I do too after some of her bratty behavior this year. Still, it would've been nice to see a young player rise and actually stay there.

Well I think we have a lot to look forward to there. Muguruza is making a slow steady rise and Keys is doing well. They are players that are really taking things one step at a time.

I think they will throw everything at Serena at the Open..from Vika,Caro,Muguruza,Razzano,Cornet,Makarova,Heather and Kvitova or Stosur just to derail her.
Bouchard is just not likeable,she has this sense of entitlement that is annoying and for a 22yr old she looks jaded like she has lived a lot..compared to say Daria Gavralova who looks so fresh faced and clean.Genie needs a burger right now because she look emaciated.She looked great and atheletic in 2014 now she cant win a match because she has no energy..

why are they always counting these players money....at the end of the day it should be about tennis.They never count the men money like they do the ladies and the articles are too many.I think its the work of some agents who want to show their players to be better than others and its sickening.This is demeaning to women players that they are considered to be like commodities.
I dont believe these lists anymore after they said that 50 cents has $150mil and he has declared bankruptcy....how do they know about players bank accounts that are offshore..

This has nothing to do with sexism. They count the money of male players too. The world revolves around money and so obviously they count it. So, I don't see what is surprising about it.

About 50 cents having $150 mill and then filing bankruptcy, that could very well happen.
Making money is one thing and being able to hold on to it and making it grow is another thing.
If you have lavish life style and stupid clinging friends, it does not take much time to blow off 150 million. Lots of football and basketball players go bankrupt despite having multi-million dollar contracts with their teams.

Bencic should be quite proud of herself; that was a brutal draw! What was it 4 of the top 10 going down to her including Serena, Halep, Woz, and Ivanovic? Very impressive; may never happen again with an unseeded player! Heaven knows it never happened before! Amazing though! :angel: :dodgy:
