and then that umpire had to spoil the end of the match just like she did in Australia.I hope we have Nouni as the Umpire of the final in NY and Serena always wins when Nouni is umpiring her matches...he is kinda luck charm during her matches....dont want to see Alison Lang s big ass in NY ..

I am puzzled as to why Muguruza got an extended ovation,I never understood why...I feel Serena should have got an ovation for achieving the Serena Slam something that is so difficult to do....reaching the final can happen often but holding all four is next to impossible..I saw a puzzled look on Serena s face and understood..oh well what else is new.

Come on tossip, the greenhorn girl fought bravely unlike other girls who cry and so she got some ovation. What is your problem?

I agree that Serena's feat is much greater and she deserves a lot of applause. But, that does not mean people should not appreciate Mugu. Stop being fanatic.

Perhaps you're just now noticing it. Anything is that is giving praise to another player must mean it is being taken from Serena. Despite the fact that Serena herself gave Mugu a standing ovation and tons of praise, Tossip will file it away as a crime against "Rena"

It's very refreshing and I am really happy for Serena who has become the number 1 spokesperson current for Chase Bank. Serena posters are all over the place ,well here in Chicago. She is very deserving which makes an excellent combination for the two Winners, Chase Bank and Serena. I guess as a father of two young ladies , it makes me proud to see young women recognize for their business achievements.:clap

yes Serena has that Chase commercial ,She has endorsements but she has control..I think Nike is paying her a lot in bonuses for every slam and year end event. That Dolphin ownership deal will pay out one day.I think she is very savvy..she is said to be the best seller on HSN..what she dint have were European deals. She now has that watch and car deal...
I think she will make money long after she is retired, from name recognition and the unique Williams story...

She is complaining about accents, wait until ESPN calls her Daria Sharapova (after RG, they said Serena defeated Lucie Sharapova in the finals).:cover

Hahahahaha, Sam honey if you are gonna talk, then please back it up. You have failed to go anywhere since your US Open win. As Janet says, "What have you done for me lately?" People don't talk about Stosur unless she is doing something. Her body type has been talked about, but that is when she was actually contending for titles. Serena's is an issue because she is winning and contends for everything.

Yeah, she sounds kinda silly there. Psyching herself up I guess. How about actually getting to the final rounds on a consistent basis first.

But there isn't anyone in women's tennis right now who can say that and not be snickered at right now so I guess someone has to.

How about waiting until the draw comes out to see where you land before making these comments? I mean she might be on the opposite side of the draw. If that's the case, we're supposed to believe she will get through Maria to even play Serena in the final? :nono Not gonna happen. She is Sharapova's pigeon. :cover

Sam is working on the premise that she is 2-1 vs. Serena in slam matches; FO and USO victories. Besides Venus, not many can say that they have a winning record against Serena in the later rounds of slam events. IMO she is putting an unnecessary target on her back especially if she is on Serena's side of the draw at the USO. That said, I have always posted that Sam is wayyyyyyyy overrated and is usually a head-case.

Even Venus does not have a winning record against Serena in the later round of slams. But back to Sam. They've played a few times since that 2011 USO final and I don't think Sam has won a set since.
