Courtney Nguyen on Twitter,

Halep tells us she has ended her collaboration with Tomas Hogstedt.Sticking to her Romanian teams, says she's happy w/Adidas team as well.

She said that already during FedCup.

I realize that, though there were discussions regarding this on Twitter,so it was more of a confirmation

Christopher Clarey on Twitter,

Spoke to Victoria Azarenka and she has confirmed that she is in Doha working with coach Wim Fissette.Seems a good match.

I just read the nytimes article on Vika's split from Sumyk. You can feel the sadness in her words. She has gone through much in the last year both physically and emotionally. When she gets over her sadness and gets mad, we will see the Vika of old.

i think Vika will have better results than Bouchard in the next five years. She is an amazing player. Bouchard is not. She does well because of her mentality but I don't see her winning more titles than Vika will. I am hoping Wim can fix her serve. I wish she were playing Dubai. Racking up points and getting back to the top would be nice to see.

Wow so it was as we thought....Vika was blindsided. That makes me really sad.

Sumyck saying he needs a challenge. Well, bringing Vika back to her true form wasn't challenging enough?

There appears to be more to this story than either participants are saying. The best "revenge" for Vika is to play hard, win slams and move back to the top of the rankings.

Maybe he got tired of sitting around waiting for Vika to recovery from her injury. He might be angry that she played before healing completely and made things worse despite his insistence that she take a long break. In any case, I hope she stages a strong comeback. Draws are more exciting when she is in it

I also loved reading Christopher Clarey's interview with Vika, which I did post here,I think it is a few pages back.Vika explained her emotions in her break up with Red Foo,her injury time out.Vika and Sam had been together for a long time,in that time he took her to No 1 and she also won 2 Grand Slam titles.Personally I welcome the change of coach,it is like a fresh start.I wish Vika a healthy and successful 2015 season.

I think the best coaching relationships last many years. Sure at certain points people need a change but I think this story is missing a green component. I just can't believe some of this wasn't about money having watched how close Vika got with both Sumyk and his wife. I wish we knew more about how coaches were compensated. I would imagine some of it is results based. What other reason would you leave a player like Vika that you have such a good history and relationship with? We know it wasn't HER choice and most of the stories we hear about coaching changes are the players choice.

I still think its a slap in the face.

I dont think we will ever know the intimate reason for the breakup,we can all speculate. At the end of the day it is now water under the bridge. In regards to coaches and how they are paid,I personally think that would be worked out between the player and the coach,I also feel,if the player say won a major title, the player would probably give the coach a 'extra bonus',yes I agree it would be on results based.I also think all eyes will be on Vika and her new coach at Doha.I truly hope for Vika's sake this new coaching arrangement works well,Vika had a horrid 2014 injury wise, thus her ranking falling,we all know she is a much better player than her current ranking.I also will be interested in seeing what Wim Fissette brings to Vika's game,he was successful when he was coaching Halep.

I wish Caroline Wozniacki would get a real coach, but I am now resigned to it never happening.
