Kei wasnt at his best today, still defeated Murray in straight sets

Murray your 2nd serve has always been a weakness in your game,it really sucked in this match

For the life of me I can't understand why you haven't made any improvement on it.

Not so routine winner. First victory comes at right time for Kei.

The crowd don't seem bothered either way, about Murray. There's no evidence of backlash from his Braveheart tweet, but they hardly seem to be slapping their palms together loudly on his behalf, either...

They do not care much about Muzza;)

One of these days you guys will listen to me! I need to watch the repeat, but Murray has to be playing on fumes! I had already suggested Nadal wouldn't even come to play! "Cross my palm with silver,,,...!" :lolz: :dodgy: :p

Missed the match earlier in favour of the gym but that was a pretty short match! 55 mins. Good start for the samurai. Bad start for the highlander.

I don't think there's been any point in time this year that Murray has been in good form. He won a few weak tourneys in the Fall (and struggled majorly in a couple of them) and has improved from the start of the year but he still has a ways to go.

^ Yeah, 2 of those tournament wins were due to a massive choke by Robredo (Shenzen and Valencia). Still, a win is a win.

If Roger is not on his game, serve wise, Kei is going to beat him too.

By the way, maybe it is the camera angle or the color of the surface, but there is no way Bercy and London are the same surface speed.

Yeah, absolutely no way they play the same speed. Nonsense talk from the organizers. Any spectator can tell that's complete bollocks.

Why would they lie? :lolz: To me they look a lot similar, not too slow, not too quick, medium pace. The same with the bounce. We'll see after Federer - Raonic match.

Kei played much more aggressive than Murray and once his nerves settled in, he actually started to hit inside the court more. Congratulations to Kei.

Andy will find it hard to get back to the level of tennis from 2012/2013, it seems.

andy got slightly hammered, scampering miles behind the baseline like some sort of weird gloomy gerbil..

his 2nd serve had "please hit me for I am feeble" written all over it. kie-ora career record now 1-0 @wtf.

It was a stupid way to play! True enough he won The Olympics and USO playing like that, but it was obvious his tenure would be short; same for RAFA! :dodgy: :nono

That's twice you've posted on this page regarding a match between Murray and Nishi at the WTF - and twice you mentioned Rafa.

You know he's not even playing there, right? :popcorn

Kinda big difference between the definition of short though comparing Rafa to Andy. 14 slams versus 2. And neither of their careers are anywhere near over yet.

I agree with you Fiero, players have to find a way to finish their points quicker and try to play more aggressive. Although that has to be part of their tennis DNA, you can't just tell some of them: be aggressive, if that is not their natural game.

Actually in the USO that Andy won, his forehand was much more aggressive than usual.

Rafa's play IMO is one of the ugliest games around, allowing nobodies and never-weres to take him the distance! If he was all that great, he'd actually have more titles and not need to take so many breaks from the tour! No other GOAT of an era has been as weak which is why I have so much contempt for the guy along with his "court act!"

I think that Fiero was actually thinking about their style of play, not results. Rafa won his hard court slams only when he was playing very aggressive and served extremely well, you would agree with me on that? Does Rafa have to be very aggressive on clay? I don't believe so. Rafa can probably play with one hand and still win most of his matches on clay.:D But other surfaces - nobody can win with just good defensive plays.
