I bet you enjoyed watching Kyrgios, Front. ;)

But I have to hand it to him, he was brilliant. I couldn't even muster up any hatred towards him, no venom, no middle finger when he flashed another ace. I thought Rafa played quite well - but Kyrgios was humongous...

I did but not only 'cos he won but he was flat out brilliant. Nerves of absolute steel and 37 aces first time playing Nadal. Phenomenal stuff. Rosol served less in 5 sets! But it was hardly just his serve that won it, his all round game is fantastic too. Gives me another player to follow in the not too distant future when Federer calls it quits. I know there was much hype with Tomic when he first took a set off Djokovic at Wimbledon, but this guy is the real deal I believe for once and most definitely a future slam winner. He's still in with a good shot here!

I doubt he can do it here, but he's the most exciting and complete teenager since you know who. He has the temperament, it seems. He wasn't out of his depth and he was clever enough and cocky enough to play fast on his service games, keeping Rafa from finding any rhythm.

Holy moley - you and I might be fighting on the same side in five years! :cry

Man its been over a decade since we have had a talented youth actually live up to his potential. Men's game has been way too dominant near the top. Hope he actually follows up

^ Just hope what happened to Stakhovsky last year doesn't happen here i.e way too much time doing press and not enough recovery time and time to concentrate on tomorrow's match. I'm thinking he has much better focus and determination than Stakhovsky though if today's nerves of steel were any indication.

^ Likewise! He has a good chance imo. I know a lot of people take the attitude, "oh well, he's caused a big upset already and he'll likely screw up next match". Too late for that 'cos he's beaten Gasquet too en route and gained massive confidence today. Not saying he'll definitely win but he's definitely proven to have nerves of steel last two matches and has a very good shot of beating Raonic although I've yet to see how he handles returning bombs.

at what point does it not become an upset that rafa loses before QFs. i mean at this point we all kinda expect rafa to struggle early on in wimby and this being the 3rd year hes lost our expectations are dropping.

He's been lucky to be as successful as he has with how they've over-worked the grass! Back in the 90's he would have been gone day one most years! :nono

What the ....

I don't know ...

NICK!!!! Legend! I'm lost for words. I'm completely lost. I mean, defeating the world number one on CC at your first Wimbledon to reach the QF is as good as it gets. He's so calm and collective, too. Bernie, I hope you're watching this mate!!!

Man, I'm stoked.

He had a great chance regardless of Rafa being there or not. I think his chances of beating rafa here are significantly higher than French open

^ I guess we wont find that out this year....in saying that I am not looking forward to the projected s/final Novak v Murray....I still feel on grass Murray is the better mover of the two.Still I will be hoping that Novak can come through and stay well focused in that match up.
