Maybe Tomic should consider what Wimbledon did regarding his dad as a favor. He is playing far better than he ever has when his father has been involved.

Haas and Lopez I think (on paper at least) should be the best match of the day. Veteran all courter in super form against a lefty with a great serve and great skills at the net who just won a tournament a week ago. Lopez' form was poor before that title but that's bound to have perked up his confidence. Also if Chardy plays to potential he could give Djokovic a tough match. On the WTA side I feel compelled to watch 42 year old Kimiko Date-Krumm play Serena for the first time. Shocking they've never played given their respective ages.

Nice! At times, Tomic's nonchalance actually helps him. He doesn't over think the points and goes for his shots when they are there. Keep it up!

Lopez's game is well suited to the grass. It pains me to remember all the trouble he caused A-Rod. It definitely will be interesting to see how Haas deals with that nasty kick serve. Expect a fair bit of S&V in that one.

Robson is through! Weeeeee! -does cartwheels-

Haas - Lopez is a toss-up IMO.

Mini break to Bernie, this could be over very soon!

That's a fascinating match up. Two big dudes that have never played one another. I hope Bernard can keep it going!

Oh no. Delpo skids and falls forward and into his equipment bag. Hope he's OK.

Tommy just served for the set at 5-1 and was broken. F-Lo to serve at 5-2

I'm very impressed with Del Potro on his grass game for the last three years. For his weakest surface, he has done very well in the last three years. We could potentially see a rematch of the bronze medal match between him and Djokovic. I do wonder if he reaches the Quarterfinals on how well he will play Ferrer. Last year, he played uninspired against Ferrer in the Round of 16.

JMDP drops a glazed doughnut on Zem in the final set 7-5 7-6 6-0. Appears to be OK from the fall. He'll play Seppi on Mon

Dolg breaks back to even things up. This could be a tricky match for David. One never knows with Alex.

Don't actually think it was down to uninspired play that day. Ferrer's simply a bad matchup for Del Potro. DP has a good shot against Seppi anyway considering the tough match Seppi had today and relatively short (given the bagel 3rd set) match DP had today.
