They might have to play the middle Sunday.

But I thought that was inviolate and they won't do it.
Also, looking at the rest of the forecast, next week seems to have cleared up quite a lot, and could be pleasant temps and little chance of rain. Just a question of how they get through tomorrow.

Wait, you are saying that if the outside courts are not playable, then the Centre Court is also not playable?
Well, I don't know. But the problem is if they don't allow play on Middle Sunday because of the rain, then the players outside of the Centre Court would have to play three straight days.

No, the Centre Court has a roof. I'm just saying that I've never heard of them violating the middle Sunday. It's not like they've never had matches backed up by rain before. (Nadal and Soderling played, or at least tried to play, 5 days in a row in 2008, just to get through one match.) It's Wimbledon…if it rains, some players might have to play consecutive days, yes.

Fingers crossed they get some play in.
