Newcombe win two? In terms of guys reaching at least 5 finals at The Championships, the list gets smaller--Connors, Borg, McEnroe, Sampras, Becker (?), Federer and Nadal. I have not checked the websites but think Boris went to five finals.

So much excitement over Nadal beating a nobody, brings warmth to my heart.

I am not sure about the excitement, since I am a Roger fan, but you have to admit the positives for Rafa. He lost to nobodies two years in a row, and we all know why. He is vulnerable against pretty much anyone who can hit with some power early in the tournament. But the fact is, when he gets past the first couple of rounds, he always went deep, since the loss to Muller in 2005.

Nadal is a rhythm player. The wear on the courts help him a lot as the tournament progresses and he gets better and better. It is not even just here...any tournament he enters, he plays himself into form. With grass, it is a bit tougher because of the drastic contrast between clay and fresh grass.

I am not saying he is unbeatable now. But looking ahead at his draw up until the finals, which player would you put your money on to win against him?

Well done today from Rafa, not an easy match by any means, as we all know. He should be okay to get through to at least the quarter finals now. For the second consecutive major, he can't face another seeded player until that stage.

The French players must seriously be having a contest to see which one of them can be the biggest joke. What a terrible loss from Gasquet from two sets up, Monfils coming back from two down only to lose is perhaps more understandable. Thankfully Tsonga at least won his two matches.

The good news is that one of Kyrgios and Vesely will get into the last 16. Good opportunity for those young guys.

Didn't comment yesterday but pretty scared now for the almost certain quarter final between Murray and Dimitrov.

Nishikori I reckon would give him a good run for his money if he stays fit before then. He seems to be playing well on grass. Raonic of course has a big serve but his backhand is crap so not sure about him.

^ I agree Front, that Kei can trouble Rafa because he hits early and can take time away from Rafa, but I am not sure I would put my money down on him in a best of 5.

That's the thing. His fitness imo will always be an issue till he improves it a lot or gets stronger. I mean if he can't even stay fit for long enough to win a best of 3 match, forget best of 5. But he was completely dominating Nadal in Madrid till he went lame and on his best surface. Certainly he'd have to serve impeccably and win in such a dominating fashion that it took only 3 sets or I'd say forget it.

No, simply answering the question above but again your comprehension skills are sadly lacking.

I'm not AP. I like to be civil where possible with everyone but it was clear I was just answering a direct question in the post above and citing who imo would be likely to pose a threat.
