Yes. If I'm not mistaken he made a little noise either last Wimby or 2011. Before he played under the German flag he was Jamaican. Good serve, pretty good volleys. Horribly inconsisent as most players that ranking are. I believe he's underachieved for his talent level.

What the F did Tsonga do there? Worse decision on a pro tennis match I have ever seen.

What did he do? I was not watching.

I am sure you will catch a highlight later on, but basically he played a drop shot where Gulbis got to, and than he lobbed him towards the right baseline, where Gulbis again barely got back, and actually slipped on the corner too...So now, tsonga has the whole court open to put the ball away, but he just sends it softly and directly towards Gulbis, who says thanks and hits a passing shot...The whole court was open, he could do anything...:puzzled

What is going on w/ the grass today? All these injuries, retirements and withdrawals. Is there something in the bathroom water at SW19?

Popsicle half volleying like Edberg there...

JWT struggling big time. Serve speed is gone. Seems like he cannot push off that wrapped knee at all.

Youzhny breaks back to level it at 4-4 in the 5th. The moment maybe is starting to get to the Canuck a bit. Youzhny raised his level too...

They're showing some points over at wimbledon.com, JWT movement is horrible. This sucks. Down two sets to one now, I don't see this happening anymore....:nono

Jo is hurting badly, obviously. only reason he didn't get bagelled was the serve and Gulbis general incapacity to play it safe.

and now JWT retires. sad. that's #? today? and another knee.

Add to that Sharapova's stock is sinking rapidly as well.

I'm proud of Ernie. What he's done this year to focus and get his ranking from where it was to now 39 is tremendous. I really hope he's learned a lesson from his years of flirting with tennis as a hobby to now dedicating himself completely to the game. I really think this guy can go far this year at Wimbledon.

P.S. That 'stop sign' forehand is still hideous though.

Youzhny wins it, I think , with experience more than anything. he raised his level at the right moment. Popsicle looked like he was running away with it but hit a brick wall towards the end. Great experience for him though.

What a day...JWT out too. I hope Roger keeps his streak of never retiring during a match.

Anyone seen much of Dustin Brown before? Big win v Hewitt.

I for one have not, but I wish I had! I think it's fantastic to have a true S&V player in the fold. While it's fine that base-liners rule this day and age, there's something unique and fascinating in watching a player such as Brown carry out an old school game with such flair and consistency against a great lawn player like Hewitt.

Fun match to watch, enjoyed it.

Good lord, this tournament turns out to be a nightmare, let's just pray that Djokovic, Federer and Murray stay healthy and make it to the semis. It seems there is a zombi virus just breaking out in London. Who's next? Novak, Andy and Roger, run, run for your lives.
