Ernie in all kinds of trouble. Down 2 sets to love against Stak

ATP Ernie must have turned back into Party Ernie again.. Broken will be happy because he has always warned us not to purchase too much of the Gulbis stock:snigger

Not sure that's it. What I caught, was Gulbis's serve not clicking, and Stak putting a lot of pressure and taking time away from Gulbis. He has very involved swings on his ground stroke that require a good bit of set up to be a great shotmaker. Not sure grass will ever be his surface, where as it suits his opponent quite well. Not saying Gulbis shouldn't have won, but I am also not shocked that he is out.

And I gotta tell ya, I don't care for Tomic, but I'm pulling for him against Berdych all day!

Gael is a character, that's for sure. He looked like he was not even trying, and Lehyani was chatting with him during the changeover asking if he was OK, if he needed help, if he needed the trainer or something and Gael was like" No man, I am sneaky like that..." and some other comments to that effect that he was doing it on purpose...

Yeah, after losing the first set, he won in straight sets...;)
You are right. I misread the scoreline because I was changing channels quickly.

This Andrey Kuznetsov is giving Ferrer all he can handle. Dude has got some game. Big hitter basically. But, I mean, he just bagelled Ferrer. Ferrer basically couldn't break him in the first two sets. But he broke him early in this third set, but that was just to get a break back because Kuznetsov broke him to start the set and win his seventh game in a row. I want to watch the Berdych v Tomic match, but right now, I think this is where it's at. If he does come through, he'll probably lose in the next round whether he's playing Dimitrov or Dogolpolov. But then, you could probably say that about Ferrer as well.

Well, Ferrer actually broke Kuznetsov in the first set as well but he broke back and they went to a tiebreak. Anyways, Ferrer has another break now here in the third. Dude is starting to miss. The commentator said that in the second set he was completely in control and just wasn't missing. But here in the third he's definitely been struggling. But he's been keeping up. But now Ferrer has set point.

First set Tomic! He'll be one of those grass specialist. Though I imagine eventually he'll start showing up on hard courts again. So much talent. But such a terrible attitude. But clearly it comes from his awful father. You'd have a terrible attitude as well if grew up with that. Our parents do the greatest and the worst things to us.

Tomic missed only 3 (three) first serves in the first set and broke once and that was it.

He missed only 3 (three) first serves? That's incredible. Berdych could be in trouble. Not that I mind. I don't care for his game, anyway, but it would be surprising for the No. 6 seed to go out in the second round, especially to a guy who's had horrible results this year.

..and Nole gets the set with a nice DTL backhand return winner. Radek had his chances when he had 2 BPs himself . Entertaining match so far. When styles are different, it is more enjoyable to watch for me.

That's why I enjoy Stepanek. No one is quite like him.
