Hewitt - Nieminen into a 5 decider sets.
They have mentioned that they both are playing their last Wimbledon now, as they both are going to retire in the next couple of months.
They are also the same age 34, Jartkko turns 34 next month.

JMac just called into question Ferrer colluding with Nadal to make the draw easier for his countryman... :snicker. Count on McEnroe to go there.

Didn't Mary - I - want - to - have - nadal's - baby - Carillo stand up for Rafa?

No. Mac really went after it. Described how Isner would have been in Nadal's draw, Kohli would have been seeded. That Ferrer withdrew at the last possible moment after it was impossible to change the draw and that he had to know sooner that he was unable to compete. Pretty much the sound of crickets after all that.

I guess the way it worked out it was bound to help someone a lot. It just so happened to be his precious balding countryman.

I don't pay attention to too much Mac says, in Ferrer's case he may have been close to being able to play but didn't want to risk it at what is his worst GS anyways. I'm not buying any kind of collusion here.

Congratulations to Tommy Haas for winning the opening round. It is not easy to come back after more than an year's absence and win. His prize is a second round match against Milos.

This geriatric Wimbledon continues with Williams, Haas, and now Nieminen over Hewitt! :popcorn :clap  :dodgy:

Even with the 5 setters, looks as if they've completed the first day except for Jerzy Janowicz who's in the 4th set holding on for dear life! It's strange to see preview coming up with Nadal and a big #10 is in front of his name! Oh the humanity! ;-)

:dodgy: Boris? He had been quoted as saying he communicates with Novak during the match... and then Novak had to clean up after him.

I still wonder what in the world Boris brings to the table for Novak. I feel that Novak would have done what he has in the last 2 years with or without Boom Boom Becker.
