Wow... if Nole doesn't come out on court with the guns blazing he could go home on the first day. We'll soon see how the three week layoff with only a shot of Boodles worked. :nono

Nice map of Wimbledon to give you an idea of where everything is.

Crazy heatwave in Europe next week. Probably a good thing RG is over. Check out the weather in Paris! You can add on a few degrees court side as well of course. Almost like Melbourne in peak heat.

It's usually somewhere around Court 2, the graveyard of TV remotes.

In scheduling decisions, often playing against british player plays some role. So, I looked up as to how many are there. There are exactly six of them. They are Murray, Bedene, J. Ward, K. Edmund, L. Broady, and B. Klein. Apart from the first two, all the rest got in via wild card business. I expect 3 to be gone after first round and two more after second round, leaving the obvious one.

That's going to be the match to watch. Kohlschreiber has his work cut out for him, but he is a crafty veteran who is good on grass.

Kohl just took Federer to a third-set tie break at Halle so this is going to be very interesting. Imagine this tournament if Djokovic goes out early. :eyepop

Nole's nowhere near the end like Sampras in 2002 when he was upset by some nobody called George Bastl from Switzerland! I never saw it since it was in the 2nd round; no TCC back then on my cable! If on HBO, I just missed it I guess! This is going to be tricky for Nole, but I hope he can rise to the challenge and take out Kohl in 4! :dodgy:

No one is saying that Novak is near the end. You are such an alarmist. Folks are only saying that it's a tricky first round. And as has been mentioned, Nole chose no tune-up, as is his way. He decided only to play the Boodles exhibition, where he had a tough first match v. Gasquet, and then lost handily to Zverev. We'll see if that works out for him.

I think I reflexively go to hyperbole when something like that little tidbit comes to mind! I just rant! :p

Wait, will Kieran be posting during a major? I think he should, Rafa has done enough losing recently to show that him not posting will not lead him to victory.

And my TV choses to show what ESP does which is Serena's match instead of Nole's

So I have Wimbledon Live scores on and I see Nole breaking Kohli serve from the get go:clap
