It isn't only because the Big Four are so good. It is because the generation who should be dominating the tour right now is the weakest in Open Era history. The players born 1989-94 is a historically bad stretch. No Slams (yet) and they're turning 22-27 years old this year!

Or to quote Fiero, :cry:nono:mad::cover:-/:cool:

Are there any TV shows tomorrow to hype up the Wimby?

Just showing men's and women's past finals on TCC! It's already started with Serena & Dementieva from '09! Nole/Roger from 2014 1st thing in the morning, going through Roddick/Federer from '09! :eyepop :nono :rolleyes:

There are 9 single british men. Expect 8 of them to get married by end of round 2. :p

Ward could have won the 2nd set against Djokovic , he had 3 BP at 5-5 , lost it 7-3 on the TB , but good to see him fight and not go away after the 6-0 in the first.

Strange to have Pim Pim (Joachim Johansson) at only number 10. Truly one of the most beastly serves of all time. I'd have him way higher. Even coming of out retirement in Stockholm 2013, he gave Raonic hell in the 2nd set. Shame about all his injuries.

Who is this guy? I've only heard of him when beating our rotten USA DC team back to back and nowhere else until now! He's like Rosol; anonymous for the most part! Plays all the time, but most only remember his upset of Rafa several years ago in 5 sets at Wimbledon! :angel: :rolleyes: :clap

SI and IBM present this nice data visualization of the key difference in the stat of Fed's winning (last) matches and losing matches in Wimbledon. According to that the key difference in performance is in the return area, more specifically, percentage of second service return points won, percentage of break points won and percentage of return games won.

Unfortunately, Roger is currently weak in exactly those areas.

Brits only have two in the top 100 right? Hardly surprising.

1st round: Ever tricky Stepanek
2nd round: Trick Shot expert Brown
3rd round: Grass expert Deliciano
4th round: Andy

Federer would have trouble with that lineup! Nick will have to be "in the zone" to survive! :nono :angel: :dodgy: :rolleyes:

After two rounds, two of the nine british players survive. They are Daniel Evans (next up Fed) and Andy Murray (next up Millman).
