The match was very close and a high quality one played by Roger and Nole..Nole is the best ROS in the game and that always put lot of pressure on Roger.
Second Nole many times killed second serve. Roger has poor second serve percentage.
But great match by both but Nole came out bit better to win. All credits to Nole

What a brilliant match. Everything I could have hoped for plus more. Federer was amazing in that 4th set, saving a championship point and fighting back from being a break down on two occasions. Full credit to Djokovic, though, for hanging tough. His head must have been going one million miles an hour when he dropped the 4th. But, to his credit, he stayed focus and played out the 5th really well. I think Nole deserved the victory - at the end of the day, he just played a bit better than Federer. Nonetheless, Roger has surpassed my expectations. The way he played today was at such a high standard. It really was amazing to see him play like this again.

The shotmaking in this match was orgasmic. The drama was so high, too. Such a wonderful final. It finished nearly at 4:00am here, but every minute of it was worth it.

Well done, Nole! Thoroughly deserved!

Cheers to this forum, as well, for making Wimbledon 14' are very fun and compelling tournament to discuss!

Also, when one player calls for a toilet break, can the other one also use it without

The score looked more impressive than the actual content; sorry! There were plenty of sitters that Nole missed; big time! That match should have been over in straight sets; 4 at the most! Federer played as well as he could, but Nole was not on his game; grass or not! There were so many balls floating he normally would have either put away or made Roger run like a dog! It didn't happen and that 4th set collapse is just so typical of him these days! He can't finish it when he could have so much earlier! :nono uzzled :angel:

I've got to say that was the best I've ever seen Novak play on grass, largely because other than a blip toward the end of the fourth, he never really dipped out of the intensity levels - something I expected him to do. He was totally focused from start to finish. From the opening bell, he looked like he was in the zone - The eye of the tiger.
