Was thinking of you, Denis, plunged into a private hell!

Your boy did great to win that match, he was very nervous, but I felt he was the stronger of the two until he wobbled in the fourth. Fed became razor sharp, so it was a massive effort by Novak to respond so strongly in the fifth... :clap

dont you think Fed got tired at the end of the fifh as in his fitness levels dropped. But still beating Fed in a wimbledon final is a perfect recipe for an all time classic :clap:clap It just wont be easy

and Andy Murray is no 10 now

Those grand slam draws can be quite tricky now

Sure was!

And yes, I did think he was the better player too, which made that fourth set all the more agonizing. Fantastic job that he kept his cool. This was an important win, and on the most unlikely surfaces of all. Novak demonstrated how allround he is too, volleying was pretty good today I thought (and in the tourney).

I thought it was great final personally and the better player won. I disagree that Federer was totally outplayed and should have lost in straights.

It's grass court tennis. You protect your serve and take your chances. Roger's chances were going to be limited in extended rallies which people tend to focus on. I thought he played pretty well overall.

Novak played better than I've ever seen him play on a grass court and didn't go for a customary walkabout. OK, he bottled it a bit in the fourth, but he didn't dip out of his intensity levels for long and remained focused.

Roger kept up his end of the bargain and brought it. Novak, at this stage of their respective careers is simply a little better. No disgrace in that. The better man won.

I still think we cant say anything about the future. Many predicted Roddick to reach another final after wimbledon 2009(except Kieran :clap) but he never even got close to that

I just enjoy the present. I just hope this gives Novak thte confidence to go for that French next year

Weak competition for Novak. He beat a 33-year old

Here we go! :nono :puzzled  Fed played about as well as he could, but the relentless pressure of Nole's return finally took it's toll! Congrat's Djokovic! :clap

He needs other players to take out both Rafa and Novak. Novak just beat him on his worst surface and Fed's best surface. Moreover, Novak is pretty consistent over the last few years. So I wouldn't think his chances are great, but maybe if these two get taken out before he meets them.

I still think in his hey day he had a netter ground game and would have stood with Novak in the rallies , heck he did even that in 2012. But at this stage Novak is just better, you have to accept that and move on

Turned that into a new avatar. I liked the one with Federer smirking next to him with the runner up trophy too, but that might have been a bit too much ;)

he matches up pretty well against djoker. so their matches can go either way assuming both are playing well. someone just needs to take out rafa.

Federer's chances at slams on an individual basis are probably better than anyone not named Rafa or Novak... at least until the likes of Grigor and the next generation step up to plate.

Does that mean he will win another? No. But until, others step up, he's the third favourite. He'd have beaten anyone on the other side of the draw other than Nole today. I don't even think beating Nole on grass is totally out of the equation either, but the chances get lesser every year here on in.

Congrats to Djokovic for his great win. This was a great match by both Champions.
After losing from match points he stayed there and won. As he rightly said that to win a match like this in five sets on grass against a champion Federer makes him happy.
I wanted Roger to win this GS but i am happy for Nole for his highly competed Wimbledon win.
This was an excellent final. Roger did great and just came little short.
