Definitely not this year anymore and if Novak keeps up his present level also rather not at the Australian Open or the slow Hard Court Masters, as the match-up usually favors Novak on anything but high bouncing clay. But the clay season should be interesting if Nadal continues to improve until then. So a win against Novak in Monte Carlo for example wouldn't surprise me too much. But if they meet multiple times on clay next year and Nadal doesn't get a win, it's hard to see him beat Novak in a big match again.nehmeth said:-FG- said:Apart from the depth of shot I agree regarding the things he improved. But I think his return and ground game, especially the backhand down the line, were considerably better in 2011.
Having recently watched 4/5 of his matches from 2011, I will disagree. His depth of shot has been better this year. He has not used the backhand down the line this year as much as 2011, but when he does, it's often either setting him up for the kill shot or the winner itself. I just wish he'd use it a lot more.
All that said, even at his present levels when do you see Nads beating him?
