Trump looks to have boxed himself into a corner on this one. If it was chess then we'd be in check... but before Checkmate, Trump will pick up the board and throw all the pieces off the table... and you know what? A lot of people won't care a damn... because they don't care that Trump shagged some blonde bimbo, or that he lies about it. Trump doesn't play traditional politics.

It's truly astonishing mate. And then he went further and claimed that Cohen has done only a tiny amount of legal work for him. Both these things help the other side

This is just tiny. Other women were paid off through lawyers may be.

On a serious note, if he does not admit that, they cannot keep the FBI's hands off from some of the documents found in the raid of Cohen's office, home and hotel (as there won't be any lawyer-client privilege).

Oh I definitely agree. His base doesn't care at all. But it's one thing to lie to the press if he's deposed in California, he can do nothing about it. This is entirely different from the Mueller probe and he seems completely oblivious to it

So it turns out Trump has been lying about Stormy. Can we all get real here? I think we all know that Trump is almost certainly guilty of all the things we think he's done. Can we stipulate that at this point? So the issue is, can it be proved or not. And that for me is the biggest issue.

I think impeachment would be a terrible idea given how polarised the electorate is. But I'm quite frankly sick and tired of pussy footing around and not being honest about who this guy really is.

I think it's disgraceful that not only did he treat a lady in that way but also used bribery to hide the fact so that he didn't look bad before voting for presidency took place. I am using lady in this instance to mean an adult person of the female gender & not a woman who acts in a lady-like manner or who was born into a noble family or married a Lord. Realistically I think that although we've found out that he's done quite a few of the things he's being accused of it is unfair to say he's done everything he's being accused of unless we get more evidence or more information comes to light. I'm not saying he's Mr. Innocent because he definitely isn't. He's not Mr. Nice either. We can all think what we want about these issues but only the people involved in these events know what occurred for sure unless more information comes to light. He's definitely not the Mr. Wonderful some people make him out to be. Then again when people have been found to be lying so many times can you really believe what they say & trust them? I don't think so. I wouldn't trust that type of person to look after a canary never mind run a country.

While I'm thinking Trump is guilty in this particular scenario... the problem is that the primary witness is a shameless money grabbing whore. Not a "lady" in any interpretation.

Lol! It says something when a porn star has a higher moral standing that the President of the United States though doesn't it?

More importantly it's interesting how we all parse Trumps actions. With most individuals who they show themselves to be colours everything we see them do. If someone is a asshole in one regard we all accept that it's likely that they are in other things they do. This guy has gaslighted us so effectively some folks will accept that he slept with at least 2 women while his wife was giving birth to his son. Lied about it continuously but we disbelieve him. But when it comes to the elections some of us accept that his denials are more credible. That makes no sense to me at all. He's a liar. He lies. I don't believe pretty much anything he says

Why does Trump hang out with porn stars in the first place? It is very difficult to exonerate this guy. He would sleep with any woman he likes, regardless of who she is. I suspect there are many more women who were paid hush money by Trump.

I wouldn't give her higher moral standing... but yes, Trump is a liar. Many politicians are. Bill C was a liar, JFK was a liar... they just play the political game.

This is where we part company mate. Yes other politicians lie. But please let's not try to make it seem like it's the same. Trump lies like no politician I've ever seen. You simply can't claim it's the same

Stormy clearly said it was consensual. Given that everyone and their dog knows that Trump is a womanizer, I don't even understand why Trump bothered to shut her up by paying money. She speaking out about it could not have caused any damage to Trump's candidacy considering it is consensual. More than likely, if Trump did not bother to pay her to shut up, she would not ever have spoken as she has nothing to speak about.

I am astonished at this from you. I take you for a reasonable person. Perhaps you're buying some propaganda from afar, but, as Federberg says, there has never been so much blatant lying coming out of the White House. Endless reversals of positions with no shame, no fear of reprisal. Trump has been caught in lies and contradictions of himself, it's hard to keep up. It is not usual that a President gets called a "liar" in public, but Trump is even being called that by members of his own party. That's pretty fresh and new. HRC was a well-considered Senator for NY, and greatly admired as Secretary of State. Whatever you think of the campaign, you do understand that there was a lot of mud slung. I'd like to hear why you think she's a greater liar than Trump. I'd also like you to look at both of their records of public service or private enterprise and tell me who is the more ethical, in terms of behavior and track record.

Not greatly admired by enough people to win her the presidency, clearly...

The US would probably be embroiled in half a dozen more wars by now if she was in the hot seat.

Greatly admired enough to win the popular vote by 3 million. So not "clearly." And the circumstances are under review. I'm not sure what you're on about that she'd have us in a "half a dozen more wars." Which ones were you thinking of?

I hate that I got myself into a Trump x Hillary debate. I hate that debate, because I don't like both, and I do not think there is a "lesser evil" option between those two. To quote South Park, is a giant douch against a turd sandwich. The only thing between Hillary and Trump that I can say for sure is that she is much smarter than he is. Or that he is far more stupid than she.

I only cited her to give an obvious, contemporary example against Federberg's claim. Trump, right now, is just another controversial politician. Only people that are so caught up in this political war will say that any actor on this is the greatest XYZ of all time. Boris Johnson was caught lying about the poisoning of the Skripals, not to mention Brexit related things, just to give another example. High profile politicians nowadays are lying/post-truth machines, and they have entire news organizations backing them up.

I always try to respect the "data". And data shows that Hillary is a liar. There are hundreds of youtube compilations of Hillary speeches and the facts she is referring to, side by side. And those are not shady "facts", not CNN pieces. Those videos in general put her words against her own words (before or after) and/or actual footage of the events she is talking about.

Oh, but that is politically driven. Well, of course it is. But it was her job not to give this people those weapons. The first time I saw such material I was amazed. Of course those videos in general are done by stupid/biased people, and there is a lot of stupid comments/phrases/narratives plugged in to it. It does not matter. The propaganda part is idiotic, but the facts are still unmistakable.

Actually, the one video which impressed me the most is the famous "we came, we saw, he died" video, where she is actually telling the truth. But it was the most "unethical" thing I ever saw a politician say. Of course, Trump does not even know what this word could actually mean.

Trump, right now, is caught up in his own web. He obviously lied, twisted or omitted parts of a story which is shady to begin with, and no one is sure about all the details (surely not me, as in fact I make an honest effort not to give attention to this case in particular). On the other hand, on Hillary's case, she described entire known situations and events which are documented to be completely different from her account. She is a proven liar. Trump is not there, yet.

You don't think Trump is a proven liar? I don't know what the news is like in Brazil, then. I'm sorry...And I'm not sure that what you're watching is accurate, if you think HRC has been more inaccurate than DJT. Remember that there is a lot of inaccurate propaganda out there and you may be susceptible to it.

Actually if you prove to me that Trump is a proven liar, I will be quite happy. I spent a lot of time lately dealing with some fellow Brazilians who idolize that moron.
