Why does this timing or that article even matter? Get over it! Everyone is agreeing (except the tinfoil hat folk) that masks help contain the spread. It doesn't hurt anyone enough to say so to wear one, and it protects others. Put on your damned mask, you self-involved luddite. I promise it won't make your balls shrink.

Clearly you never listen to NPR. Beyond classical music, (which, let's face it, if the government doesn't fund it, local classical stations are kaput,) they also showcase the arts. How much local radio or even TV programming goes into highlighting books, theater, plastic arts or even independent film? NPR has a lot of time for them, which is very important, imo. Also, they do hour-long shows on science, and spoken word projects. Not to mention that there is probably a larger diversity of voices in their programming than...well, name me another. One man's "left-wing political inanities" is another man's open-minded forum. And we all figured out a long time ago how "open-minded" you are about journalism.

Pence is the head of the committee on the pandemic. If you don't like him, take it up with Trump.

Even your friends have deserted you. As AP pointed out above about you liking CNN, when they suit you, you also turn on Fox and the Republicans, when they don't. Let's examine this for a minute: who is it that might be wrong?
Getting close..but the WRONG Don

Trump is more bothered by the statues of the Confederacy be replaced than defeating Covid-19 virus.

Moxie dead-wrong again. She said it was only the Confederate flag that would be attacked and coming down. She also said that Kaepernick also only meant to protest police brutality.

Wrong on both counts.

Completely wrong:

Well you are one of the people among the dumb masses who actually thinks, because of media propaganda, that “Covid” is a serious threat to anyone but extremely old people in nursing homes, who, incidentally enough, were not protected well by Democratic governors. And because you are simply a partisan hack, you can’t bring yourself to condemn Cuomo, Murphy, Wolf, and Whitmer for their outright stupidity in sending “Covid” patients into nursing homes - the one place where Covid patients are actually dangerous.

You can’t admit that because you have the Democratic Party’s dick so far down your throat you are gagging on it.

You don't believe this virus is Real. Even Trump isn't that foolish. I really wonder what is your agenda. Cali, if you are not satisfied with the cards that life have dealt you, there other options for you.

This poor man has literally been in Hell for the past 76 days of his life yet this is all a joke to you.

No, retard, I believe the virus is real but that its dangers have been ridiculously exaggerated for political purposes. If I didn't believe it was real, I would not be constantly bringing up the stupid decision of Democratic governors to send Covid patients into nursing homes - a murderous, wicked, and incompetent decision that you refuse to condemn because you are that much of a partisan hack. Nothing could have been as irresponsible as that policy, yet you continue to refuse to say anything bad about a member of the Democratic Party. That's how much of a joke you are.

As for another one of your wimpy personal attacks, again, it is frankly hilarious given how subliterate your writing ability is and also given the reality of which party has more losers in it. The Democratic Party relies on a wide swath of life failures for its votes, while the Republicans have most of the middle class and much of the upper middle class. You're an idiot, as usual.

Trump knows he is over his head.

Low-IQ AntePaleolithic posts a video of Bill Kristol - arguably the Iraq war's leading proponent - to bash Trump. That is rich.

Although it makes sense. You have a dumbass (AntePaleolithic) posting a video of someone who has been more wrong than anyone on American politics (Bill Kristol). Actually, it makes perfect sense when you think about it.

Nope, not even close. You are simply going off lazy, ignorant stereotypes, but since your targets are people in right-leaning demographics, I doubt Moxie will chastise you for seeing different groups of people as “monolithic.” Your prejudices are fashionable, so she has no problem with your generalizations and bigotry.

The entire world went on lock-down to get Trump out of office? Even you can't believe that. And why is the US, rich, first-world country that we are, doing so poorly in this pandemic? Couldn't be failure of leadership, could it? Well, I guess, as you would have it, in the form of governors of blue states. Trump abdicated responsibility for this mess ages ago. And he's still not helping.

No, the way I see it, he's just insulting you, the way you do everyone else, based on "lazy, ignorant stereotypes." So you deserved that. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Burning the American flag is a time-honored protest. As to Kaepernick, I don't see why he bothers you so much. You're on the winning side, man! Just like the Confederacy. Water of a Donald Duck's back, right?

Moxie, completely wrong again. First she said (among other stupid things) in mid-June that Lincoln statues were not being targeted by left-wing cretins. In subsequent weeks Lincoln statues have been targeted by these low-information dolts in Boston, Madison, and DC itself (that’s in addition to numerous monuments such as those of Jefferson, Washington, Roosevelt, Grant, and abolitionists that have nothing to do with the Confederacy). Her “thought” process is too stifled and too constricted to see that the logic of tearing down Confederate statues applies to virtually every monument in America.

Trump was absolutely right about this post-Charlottesville in 2017. He said that Washington and Jefferson statues would follow the Lee statues in being targeted, and he got lampooned for saying so. It took just three years and now he has been vindicated, with Jefferson and Washington statues having been targeted in recent weeks and a New Slavetrader Times columnist openly calling for the removal of Washington statues in an editorial.

Moxie also insisted that Kaepernick’s protest was only about “police brutality” toward blacks (which, as the data unequivocally show, is a total fabrication in the public mind). I on the other hand insisted that Kaepernick was making a much broader (and ridiculously distorted and ignorant) statement about the black experience in American history. To clear up any doubt on who is right in this matter, Kaepernick provided you as straightforward a tweet as you could ask for (see below).

Moxie, why don’t you just admit that you are a complete political dumbass and your mind and temperament are unsuited to make political judgments? It is plain as day that this just isn’t your cup of tea, no matter how hard you try.

Here you go. Straight from this white leftist-created puppet’s mouth. This is about far more than Confederate flags (which bother white leftists more than blacks) and the complete lie of police bias against blacks:

Burning the American flag is a time-honored protest.

No, it’s not. It mostly appeared in recent decades. But speaking of “time-honored” traditions, heterosexual dimorphic marriage is a “time-honored” tradition among the human race. But I don’t see you emphasizing the importance of tradition in that case, do I? That’s because you love your little Petey B from Indiana, who was, ironically enough, completely rejected by black voters who do not care much about your precious LGBT cult agenda.

As to Kaepernick, I don't see why he bothers you so much.

Because I think he is a total ignoramus whose conceit is only surpassed by his political stupidity, and from my own personal experience I know what kind of impact white leftists have on the token blacks in white suburban areas. They shape them and mould them into the most obtuse, idiotic political pricks imaginable. Kaepernick grew up in such an environment and he has become the demented monster that he is in large part because of that white left-wing upbringing. I also never thought much of him as a quarterback, so I’ve never been a fan of his.

What do you get when you combine a) toxic white leftist influence, b) underdeveloped men watching sports excessively for 5 decades, and c) incompetent, pretentious white women taking over academic disciplines that are over their heads?

Colin Kaepernick being considered a public intellectual.

You're on the winning side, man! Just like the Confederacy. Water of a Donald Duck's back, right?

You could have at least spelled “off” right to not blunt the impact of your own joke, lame as it was, you old white shrew. Why don’t you go back to saying “crikey”?

That said, if you want to talk about who is on the winning side, be my guest. Was Hillary’s campaign in 2016 on the “winning side” of history in 2016? Remember that glass ceiling that was supposed to break? It never did. According to your read on things, Trump was never in a million years supposed to defeat Hillary, yet he did.

As for blacks, is Chicago having its most violent day in 60 years an indication that the Civil Rights movement is on the right side of history? Are 1 and 3-year old black kids being shot in the face a sign of being on the right side of history? What about the utter failure of Baltimore schools 60 years after the Civil Rights movement? What you call “winning” is actually brazen failure.

Oh, and what about the forces of international Communism that the American left apologized for decade after decade? Both the Soviets and their American ideological allies insisted for decades that Communism was on “the right side of history.” The American left loved Communism. And where is Communism now, after all that blustering?

Oh, and you’re a feminist. It’s 2020. How is your precious Democratic Party cult nominating a senile 77-year-old straight white man who was friends with segregationists? According to your read of history, either Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren were supposed to be the nominee. But because of their personal flaws and shortcomings, that never worked out. They couldn’t win enough votes from their own leftist electorate.

I could go on, but you get the point. Actually, let me throw one other example in there: Pete Buttigieg was rejected entirely by black voters. They hated him, especially the blacks in his hometown of South Bend. That doesn’t jibe with your demented read of history and how it is supposed to develop. You simply have a totalitarian revolutionary mindset in which temporary victories are taken as eternal vindication. You are no different than Lenin or Hitler in that regard. You think that having your way for a few years means your ideas have been validated. That’s far from the case.

Moxie correct. Colin's latest tweet is focusing.on the history of white supremacy however his initial kneeling was about the injustices by Policemen against black men and women.

And why is the US, rich, first-world country that we are, doing so poorly in this pandemic?

Don’t say “we” as if it is one group. Red state governors have done such a superior job to blue state governors that lumping them into one group doesn’t make much sense.

That said, if you want to be overly simplistic and lump every state into one group as though Trump was personally responsible for everything happening in every state (a ridiculous premise, but one I will work with just for the sake of this argument), then the USA has done a very good job in light of the model that was used to justify the lockdowns. The Imperial College model that Fauci and Birx brought to Trump indicated that the lockdowns were needed to prevent 2.2 million deaths. Judged by that standard, the USA has done very well.

Now I think that the model referred to by Fauci and Birx was utterly absurdity, but that was the model used to justify the lockdowns. And judging by that standard, only being at 130,000 is a success. Of course, I am not buying the 130,000 and I think it is ridiculously inflated, but that is besides the point.

Couldn't be failure of leadership, could it?

Yes, it is. A failure of incompetent Democratic governors who failed to protect the elderly in nursing homes. It is not Trump’s fault that someone like Cuomo is a dumbass. That is the fault of New York voters, such as yourself.

Well, I guess, as you would have it, in the form of governors of blue states.

The numbers don’t lie, sweetheart. 86% of Covid deaths have occurred in Democrat-run states. Again, it is not Trump’s fault that Democratic leaders are dumb. What is he supposed to do about that?

Trump abdicated responsibility for this mess ages ago. And he's still not helping.

No, he has been very proactive all along. He sent the needed equipment and made the necessary accommodations for New York. Cuomo did not use the USS Comfort ship or the Javits Center for housing elderly Covid patients and instead did the dumbest thing imaginable by sending them into nursing homes. How is that Trump’s fault? Trump set the table for Cuomo, and instead of eating and behaving himself, Cuomo tripped over his own feet and plunged his head into the salad bowl like a dunce.

If Governor Meatball is as in love with Italian heritage as he says he is, he should have know more about what happened to the elderly in Italy and done what DeSantis did in Florida, which was take aggressive measures to protect nursing homes and retirement facilities as a first priority. It’s not Trump’s fault that Cuomo failed to do that.

What injustices have blacks endured from police that other groups haven’t? You have no data to back up your beliefs, nor does Kaepernick. Blacks are not targeted or treated differently by police on the basis of skin color. I have said it to you a million times, but apparently you are impervious to any kind of factual or data-centered analysis: in all of 2019, there were only 9 unarmed black males shot and killed in the entire USA. That was less than the white number, and all 9 of those unarmed black males had violent standoffs with the police.

There were more unarmed blacks killed in Chicago last weekend than the police shot and killed across the USA in all of 2019.

As for Kaepernick, it was clear from the start that he was protesting far more than police brutality. And his comments since that time have only confirmed it, his latest tweet on July 4th being one of them.

Dude..if we are gonna engage in competitive banter then you have to have some kind of transparency. Moxie, Federerberg and I have given you facts and names of unarmed black people that were murdered by policemen yet you consistently try to change the narrative by looking at data. This has nothing to do with stats or data. However, you will not acknowledge the names or the existence of the victims. In your mind, they are nothing more than " casualties of war".

YES. I am prejudice against bigoted people who uses racism to try to keep others who are less fortunate down. The way you attack men and women shows that you lack "Proper" higher education. You most likely have been a loser all your life and feel disenfranchised you were not accepted by the elites. Now you are old and have nothing to show for being*Caucasian" but hate as you so desperately trying to hold on to your whiteness.
