they're all for bigger government mate, the only difference is which part of government they want to enlarge
would love to hear about the virtue signalling, can you be more specific?
I always chuckle at corruption comparisons with Trump. Why does his son's taking advantage of nepotistic opportunities put him in Trump's league?
Biden is an equal opportunity toucher mate. Look at the record. He does that regardless of age, gender or race... ergo.. not creepy. Just retail politics. A bit hyperbolic there I think ;)
Slave to the establishment? Can't argue with that one..
I don't like anyone that is for big government, left or right.

Ask yourself what CNN would say if Trump's son did what Biden's son did and then we'll talk ;-):

"Equal opportunity toucher" does not sound like an amazing endorsement but whatever works for you.

If you go to his website and read his plans and programs, everything reeks of virtue signalling. I really cannot be more specific , unless I go quote by quote which I do not have the desire to do so. Everything reeks of elitism "I am better than you, you uneducated masses need someone like me to teach you about everything". That's what I get from him and Obamas in general.

oh I don't disagree about the big government stuff mate, I'm just pointing out it's not unique to Biden so not sure why you brought it up

Lol! Mate... I find it funny you don't seem to recognise Trump's greatest strength. There is such a continuous pile of shit coming from the guy no one can focus on anything! The list for the Trump kids is almost without limit. China and patents for Ivanka, Junior and Indian hotels, both the boys in Ecuador. Look it up. The reason the media can't (not doesn't... CAN'T) focus on this stuff to educate you is that there is soooo much shit to deal with. With Biden you just have his son.. and you think it makes them equals or Biden worse? My Lord...

Let's see what his website shows when he goes in to Presidential election mode..

This is absolutely terrifying. When your own mother believe Fox News instead of you and your doctor brother... I want to blame Fox News, but I can't. These people have brains presumably. They have to bear the responsibility themselves at some point...

Federberg, this shows just how little exposure you have to right-wing media in the United States. Fox News actually led the way with its major anchors having the most segments on coronavirus of any news channel in January. Tucker Carlson in particular ran numerous segments on it and said that the general media should have been focusing more on coronavirus instead of impeachment. Hannity also had Dr. Fauci on his show in January to discuss it. And both Jesse Waters and Greg Gutfeld of the show "The Five" talked about the coronavirus being very serious at the end of January.

As usual, you are being misinformed.

Did some people on Fox News downplay the coronavirus? Yes. But so did many in the rest of the media, especially when Trump issued the travel ban at the end of January. Fox News is not guilty of anything that the other outlets are not in that respect. Fox News was actually the most right of any network in forecasting the coronavirus. Just look at this graphic of headlines from non-Fox News sources downplaying coronavirus until they realized it was dangerous and could be used against Trump:

And why aren't you picking on Pelosi? She said the exact same thing on January 24th as the people in that video:

oh mate... here you go again. I have access to Fox News here. This isn't about them. Do you even read what people write or do you feel that you must go into defence mode for Fox when they're not even the subject matter? Please engage your brain. Please...

Having Fox News doesn't mean anything. Most people have channels they never watch. The video you posted included a montage that is circulating all over the internet to poke fun at Fox News because some people on Fox downplayed the coronavirus and said exactly what various other outlets including the New York Times were saying before they realized it was serious. You can dance around that but your video included that montage. Don't try to act like it's not there now because I posted a graphic showing the entire media establishment in the U.S. was saying the same thing.

Have you seen this clip from January? Why don't you give Tucker Carlson and Tom Cotton credit for this? Please show me a clip from another news outlet that showed comparable foresight:

It's not about the fkg news channel Cali. It's about relatives unwilling to listen to data and science from their loved ones. They would rather believe nonsense. Frankly I could be talking about any media source. When your own mother doesn't believe your knowledge as a doctor but would rather listen to shit they hear on tv there's a problem. If you don't understand that then... I don't know what to say. Over and out!

Yeah but how many people like that do you think there actually are? You are talking about one extreme case. Also, numerous figures on Fox - both anchors and doctors interviewed - have stressed repeatedly that HCQ is only appropriate if DOCTOR-RECOMMENDED in individual cases. That has been said over and over by Hannity and numerous doctors on Fox who have been interviewed.

I always find it funny when the first people to lecture others about not generalizing go ahead and immediately generalize when their desired targets are the ones being generalized about.

Dude, you don't know much about Biden, do you? I gave his son as an example and I am not blaming you for immediately going with whataboutism because whatever you say about Trump is probably true, but do not think for one sec Biden's only issue is his son.

*Biden has been THE guy for the credit card companies since day one. He has his signature on every legislation that screwed the middle class he claims to care about. MBNA probably made him who he is.
*In the pocket of health insurance companies. One of the few candidates refusing to deny money from the big health.
*Said he would not take money from the fossil fuel industry, had a nice fundraiser with an executive from the industry the next day (or week, I don't know) and than denied it and said he did not know who the guy was, what he was doing.

He is just a corrupt politician that monetized his office for decades. Easy to research mate. Now if you are telling me no one is as bad as Trump, you would be correct. Trump made tons of crooked deals probably and scammed tons of people and got rich. But Biden did that also for decades on public dime , used his name (or his kids used his name) for shady deals with Ukraine, China, Romania, you name it.
Corrupt is corrupt.

The Bernie people have a talking point which is "corporate Democrats." I won't say that's wrong, but this is also a way of dividing us. As to Biden, I do think he's a very ethical person, and can unite the party. Americans, in general, are moderate. What Sanders and Warren have done is bring enthusiasm to the progressive wing of the Democratic party. And Bernie is talking about still collecting delegates to get that voice heard. This is good.

oh wow.. a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Credit cards are one of the largest industries in Delaware, Biden's state! I don't get people like you. You do a tiny bit of research, maybe listen to one attack piece on tv and confer on yourself expertise. As a senator Biden advocated for some of the most important employers in his state. So what?? If Elizabeth Warren appearing in Congress implies that he's in bed with credit card companies, she's darn right, but so are all the other senators in bed with their states companies. That's the fkg job! News flash, when McConnell advocates tax cuts for bourbon companies he's doing exactly the same thing. That's the nature of the American political system. You can call it corrupt if you want, but then what you're really talking about is the system not the specific politician. Any senator who isn't advocating for the largest employers in his state isn't keeping his seat for long so let's get that straight.

Joe Biden the senator who used to take the Amtrak to Washington, respected and loved on both sides of the aisle, super corrupt? No mate. Actually do your research and submit the proof or at least follow American politics for a few decades...Don't just present stuff that's little more than inuendo, and frankly very easily explainable.

It truly beggars my mind that on one side you have a guy who actually has real life corruption dirtying his hands. The other fella just gets smeared with crap by opposition attack dogs and he's the one who's corrupt? FFS what is going on in the world? This reminds me of Dubya vs Kerry. The avoider of active service vs the real life war hero. Unreal...

Yeah, well, the Bernie Democrats want to be divided from the "corporate Democrats." Their entire economic platform centers around that. Maybe you should take their ideas seriously if you really want "that voice heard"? As usual, you are talking out of both sides of your mouth.

As to Biden, I do think he's a very ethical person

LOL.....right, and the Republican base consists of the dumb ones.

Statements like "Biden is a very ethical person" are a great example of how terribly misinformed the Democratic electorate is. It truly is amazing.

Guys like you , the " do your research, educate yourself" crowd, you really amuse me. So, YOU have all the correct info eh? All the knowledge? Good for you man. You know it is that attitude that gets assholes like Trump elected. Keep going. Biden is an angel. My bad. I apologize.

Funny how you post an article from David Frum - one of the United States's main cheerleaders for the war in Iraq, George Bush's speech writer, and a leading pro-Israeli advocate in the United States. As someone who says he opposes Middle East interventionism, why does Frum's background not trouble you?

I hope you are aware that the main reason Frum hates Trump is that he altered the foreign policy platform of the Republican Party from Bush-McCain-Romney interventionism to more of a restrained/isolationist approach. Trump took the party away from Frum and his friends. (And of course the content of the article is nonsense.)

You are being too modest here murat. Federberg follows the headlines but he knows less than he thinks he does.

That said, since he and I have been having a more civilized dialogue of late, I'll stop there and just show what I mean in subsequent posts.

never said he was an angel mate. Frankly I think he's a weak candidate in my view, but the whole bunch of Dem candidates were weak. Doesn't mean the stuff you were saying had much substance to it. There are critiques of the man that are fair and reasonable... and thoughtful

Lol! Cali you dismiss the article because of who writes it, never really giving much thought to what he says. By the way I haven't even indicated whether I agree with Frum or not. I just put it here because it's pertinent to this thread. Defensive much?

To be honest Fberg, that article you just posted by Frum was far from fair and reasonable.
