I won't deny her athleticism. But you have to be somewhat athletic to make it big on the tennis tour. As for her reaching a slam final, to me that's not indicative of someone having immense talent. We've seen over the years how a draw can open up and somebody who wasn't on the radar gets to a slam final that hasn't really done anything else in their career. Bouchard is ringing a bell.
Fine, but I think that's dismissive, as in the armchair complaining department, but that's your opinion.

Ons is frustrating Kenin at present, with the variety in her game,Ons did a lovely high lob and now Kenin will serve to force a t/breaker for the 1st set.

Kenin needs to address her transition game to the net, practice coming in and what shot is needed, she does not look comfortable at all.

She's still young. I think her coach will help her address her short game. She will need it going forward. Since she's already won a slam, she has a target on her back now. Everyone will be studying her game to expose her weaknesses.

I figured this would be a tight match w/ Sofia coming through in the end on sheer willpower

I also picked Kenin.she is pretty tough,as we all saw at the AO earlier this year.

Kenin's fhand is doing the damage, love the way she directs it into the corners.
I do not understand why Ons has not been bring her forward more, especially in the mid court
Though Kenin has improved in the mid court and cleaned up her UFE from the 1st set.

Kenin d Jabeur 76(4) 63

Kenin cleaned up her UFE from the 1st set, though it was a close battle, both players moving each other around the court.

Kenin will play Elise Mertens in the round of 16.

Sunday's matches,
Putintseva (23) vs P.Martic (8) I like Petra to win
Jennifer Brady (28) vs A.Kerber (17) I like Jennifer Brady to win,she has been impressive so far at the USO
Shelby Rogers vs P.Kvitova, usually the conditions at the USO do not favor Petra,so far she has handled them well,Shelby also looks comfortable on these courts,I like Petra to win.
Naomi Osaka (4) vs A.Kontaveit (14),even though Osaka leads their H2H 4-0,last time they met it was a tough 3 setter, fact when Osaka reaches the fourth rd of a major and won her match she has gone onto win the title.Osaka to win,I expect it could be in 3 sets.
