Not so fast ole friend and former Rafa fan...the German was at the mountain's top last year but got derailed from look over by Dominic. Sascha believes he can defeat Novak. He was the only player besides Tsitspas who has the type of groundstroke that can "boss" Novak from the baseline.. ( Daniil Medvedev can also but he is a mental midget vs the Big Two ( Rafa and Novak) in the final which he displayed in the AO final earlier this year..That was an awful display of being gutless which I don't like saying because I like Medvedev's game. Sascha's game matches up better than Daniil's game because he is willing to come forward. The Russian is the opposite, he wants to hit the big serve but stay behind the baseline to try to out hit Novak which is impossible unless you are Rafa, Roger, Dominic or Stan. IMO
Djokovic overpowered berretini, hit more winners than mateo and even more fh winners...

medvedev cannot outhit novak and neither can tsitsipas... of course, if novak is passive and defensive, anyone can outhit him... on top of his game, he dominates rallies against almost anyone, even did it vs federer at wimbledon! No-one does that..

now.. zverev is a different animal when on, than tsitsipas or medvedev. He can dominate rallies vs djokovic, more than others can, he also has serve. I think it’s stamina that i question... he is lanky, tall and may be vulnerable if match gets to 5...

Novak makes you play high level for hours, any loss of energy or lack of stamina and novak capitalizes.

zverev will need to serve big, be consistently aggresive with his groundstrokes and maybe hope djokovic doesn’t bring his very best... where he is aggresive and defending like no other. Zverev can win...

medvedev is a different match-up... novak dictates against medvedev but medvedev makes novak miss... so it’s a different machup. I don’t think medvedev just suddenly played like crap at AO finals... he had already made a slam final and on a hot streak... his problem was that djoker dictated and didn’t miss... i think medvedev lacks the tools to handle a top form djoker.. danil is more of a defensive player, with bursts of power on occasion.

zverev has a better chance, much more power
