I really hope Thiem starts finding his A game. Today would be a good start. I really want to see him lift a slam trophy. He has been too competitive with the Big Three not to take one of these trophies.

Theim had that heartbreaking loss/choke to Del Potro here a few years back. Winning would be such a great comeback.

Well whatever happens hopefully the winner of Thiem and FAA will end up winning the title. Obviously Thiem deserves it more based on his overall career, but sometimes life doesn’t work like that... One thing is for sure it will be a professionally played match with no disqualification. Both are class acts.

I don’t have any doubts it will. The Djokovic match has nothing to do with their match.

What a clutch hold from FAA after facing 2 break points! Of course FAA needs to win this 1st set in order to have a good chance to win the match, but I like his mental composure in this set. He did not start well at the beginning of the set, but he steadied the ship.

Thiem wins the first set tiebreak. Credit to Thiem for not making one unforced error in that tiebreaker. As for FAA, his over hitting his forehand right now, but he is still playing well. We will see on how Felix responds now.
