This match between Alcaraz and Baez is a fun match, great points from both players, raising their level, playing well at the same time
on serve early in the 2nd set, Alcaraz did have a break, Baez broke back.
Keeping an eye on that match. Happy to see Brandon Nakashima got the win in straight sets 7-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Carlos is up 2 sets now. Others who have advanced are Gasquet & Isner.

Trainer back on court for Baez such a shame he can hardly walk this is his first year on the ATP tour as well

Baez retires shame, though understandable, he was playing great tennis as well

Alcaraz wins by retirement 75 75 2-0

I thought Carlos was going to win the match but not this way. I know injuries happen in all sports but I don't like when they do.
This is Baez first year on the ATP tour, before that he was playing the challenger circuit and winning, like Dominic should be doing, of course Alacarz would win, but he had to earn that win, it wasnt easy.

7-5, 7-5 are tough set wins.

I wonder how hot it is in New York City. It is like 90 degrees here in Maryland and that doesn't count the humidity.
Not only the high temp it is the high humidity in NYC which can be the killer for all the players, I know living in Sydney, our humidity in Summer is unbearable at times

The trainer must have worked a miracle on Sinner's foot. he is now up 5-2 in the 2nd set.

Sinner wins the 2nd set 6-2. :yahoo:
