Actually, I think the joke is: if he wins he's a Brit, if he loses he's a Scot. But no version of it mistakes him for English.

oh there we go!! at least we got all three in the story! !! lol.

maybe we can add a fourth ...

''MISTER ANDY MURRAY you just won and became number ONE!!"
"can you tell us what do you want for today ?
British? english? or Scot?"
"NONE of the above -- i'm married and my wife's listening...".

Murray's Scottish - born in Scotland to Scottish parents. Lives in England? So what? Djokovic lives in Monte Carlo.

Okay, I thought he was maybe a Scottish because he was swearing as much as Billy Connoly and Gordon Eamsey. But I think his best argument for being a Scottish is that English people absolutely hate him for whatever reason.

His best argument for being Scottish is that he actually is. And I don't think English people hate him, in my experience. In fact, they root for him, often, as a fellow Briton. Get the difference?

did you see that MASTOOR? did you see that? lol....they're trying to annoy you! lol.

Because that what I said for Murray may apply to them, though my intention wasn't to get personal. Unlike them I very well know what I am and what I'm not.

I tell you, the lead up to USO is becoming more and more difficult to manage. Players do have to negotiate this part of the season carefully, after so many masters and 3 slams and physicality of the game. Andy has played so many matches he just couldn't muster any energy at the end, you could see it.

you know i hardly even thought of that now..imean -- aware of it in the back the mind but you get used to them just doing it -- but it's so true -- it' has to be so exhausting by this time for them. PLUS it IS really tough to get through the summer in NYC HAVING to compete like that after a whole season already.

we just have to be amazed at the players really.

What you're not is a person with a feel for geography. You're slagging Murray because he's pressing your man for the year-end #1. And you tripped over your own feet. Get a map.

wasn't there some time in the tabloids before he was winning when they were rough on hm, though? like in those early years.
