I watched a lot of tennis today YAY!

Delpo was great, he called a trainer at the end of the first set, but didn't take MTO, hopefully that is nothing. I wish, however, that he loses that terrible shirt color, it hurt my eyes the whole time.

Thiem was so animated throughout his match, I hadn't seen him as vocal as he was today.

Murray will take this set, I think, but what an effort from Lorenzi. I honestly didn't think he would be able to even play this match, but he did more than it was expected of him. Murray didn't impress at all considering his opponent doesn't have any really big weapons and had to play a 5 hour match in the previous round. I guess they can't always play their best and a bit of letdown is normal.

Wawrinka is serving for the 2nd set, it's hard to watch everything when there are 2 matches being played at the same time.

I missed all that as I was watching Andy.

Did you see any Thiem or Dimitrov?

Most of Thiem's match and a little bit of the ending of Dimitrov's, BB. We have US open on 3 different channels here in Canada, but the court Dimitrov and Sousa played wasn't one of the featured ones, unfortunately. Dimitrov seems to be playing well.

Thiem started the match with a lot of errors. Then he settled down from the 2nd set. But it wasn't an easy affair against Carreno Busta. I don't know if I am imagining it, but to me it looks like a lot of players are playing well once they have gained some experience, usually in their late 20s. Dominic looked anxious a lot and tried to end points too soon, making a number of UFEs.

Andy wins but what a feeling it must be for Lorenzi. He hadn't won back to back matches in any major until this year at USO. He even served for the 1st set but nerves got to him. Even being jaded, Andy came through as expectedly.

Dimitrov vs Murray - should be a good one.

This is the 2nd time I hear: bad boy of British tennis, describing Evans. Why? He is giving Wawrinka everything he can handle, 3rd set tiebreak about to start.

What a beauty by Stan to save the 3rd set point in this 3rd set tiebreaker!

But Evans takes it nevertheless. An upset in the making!!!

Great effort by Evans, but it looks like the experience and being less nervous in critical moments will prevail.

After dropping the 1st set Kei righted the ship, won the next 3 sets and is through to R16.

Exactly, he is very natural, he doesn't need to show anything or to 'pretend' whatever and I love the good sense of humor that he has sometimes answering the press questions

Yep, he's just real. There is no pretense in him. What is really honesty is often mistaken for a lack of confidence. I laugh about that all the time. In society we're programmed to "never let them see you sweat" which is stupid, IMO, because sweating is a natural function of the body. Pretending you don't sweat is silly and anyone who believes it has some kind of complex. Just be yourself, it's worked out swimmingly for Rafael Nadal, he's shown us by example.

I didn't see any of Dimitrov, but Thiem v. PCB was a really well-matched affair. That was a good match. Carreño Busta acquitted himself well.

You're both a very tough crowd. Everyone is entitled to her opinion, for sure, but John Isner is a perfectly nice young man, and Madison Keys is a smart woman with a big power game. I'm just putting in the word for them. :)

Good, everyone needs someone to support them. I have no problem with that.
