To be honest, I almost hope Roger loses as I don't think he's capable of beating Rafa in his current form. I'd rather take the QF loss to Delpo.

It does beg the question: What happened to the Roger we saw earlier in the year, even Wimbledon?

Arrogance in Montreal happened. I don't think the back is the problem tonight but when you don't get to practice as much and when you start to play bad for a few weeks it is hard to turn around.

DP isn't doing anything special. The Fed from earlier this year is up a set and a break or 2 sets by now

Even you would prefer a Fed loss here than have the marquee match, if Roger loses? I'm a bit surprised.

I'm just tuning...no tennis all day. How was Rafa?

That was a surprising miss from Roger.

Why is that surprising to you? Rafa still leads the H2H 23-14 and I'd rather that not get worse on account of Roger being unable to bring anything close to his best. It is only a "marquee match" in name only, unless both bring a high level of play.

I'd rather see Fed get a shot, he could come out and play a lot better Friday. We've seen it earlier this tournament with a night and day difference between rounds 2 and 3. If that happens he probably wins. Playing like this he gets creamed. DP isn't stopping Nadal either.

I like DP but I'm trying to picture the 2009 version compared to this. More deadly in every way. Fed would be wearing the ball tonight from those bombs.

Why is the roof closed? Is it raining?
Just catching up with the thread, and maybe someone else responded, but I was trying to shoot a TV commercial exterior all day, and yes, it was effing raining! On and off, but it was enough to nearly screw my day.

Fed playing a little better but still feels like DP is controlling a lot of these rallies and Fed's serve is poor.

DP has too much fight and pride to go away. This will end up being a lot longer than we hoped even if Fed wins the next 3.

They are the two best players of their era, even if it's waning. I thought you'd be up for that. I didn't take you for a "h2h" guy.

Why? Because of the head-to-head? In my opinion...That's chicken shit!

Delpo was definitely not playing well, even in the first set. Fed lost it because he was not playing good either.

I don't hear the Argies any more. :D
