There is nothing I hate more in tennis than a shitty approach shot and Federer fired dozens of them already. He, of all people..

There's one thing I hate more than that and it's when someone has an easy short ball or volley and they hit it right at the opponent. fed's done that a few times too.

Well DP just gifted him a break back. This may turn into a match of who can play worse.

He's super casual on some of these points. Had the momentum and should've easily put away that first point at net and then who knows.

You guys put way too much pressure on Fed. He can't win every match even though I'm sure that's what all his fans would like. He is 36 now and maybe just maybe, he's not as healthy as he would have everyone believe or he's just plain tired.

You paint yourself in a corner, if you say that you only want him to beat Rafa. Or maybe you're saying having a fair shot, but they're both aging warriors, and Roger has beaten Rafa 3 times this year. The problem with their h2h didn't start or was evenly majorly affected by 2013. Just own what you mean. But a lot of the world would like to see the big Fedal SF. They are one of the greatest rivalries in tennis. It would be great for a tournament that needs some star power, and, as a Nadal fan, I wouldn't be sure how that would go, given the year. I'd put the cards on the table, and I think you should, too. But that's your choice.

I think he's saying that it's about Fed not really having a chance the way he's playing.
I get what he's saying but I rather he gets the chance. I think this tournament has shown with Roger that how the back and game feels can change day to day.

As for 2013 it was an easy 4 wins for Rafa that year in the H2H, obviously it wasn't good beforehand but that just made matters a lot worse. And Fed is very 2013 tonight and a couple other matches this tourney. I'm pretty sure there were many Rafa fans who hoped their guy would lose before seeing Novak in 2015 and 2016 because they knew he had no chance with the way he was playing.

May be. But what about del Potro? He's flu-ridden AND he's coming off a five set match in which he was ill.

found out something I hate more than shitty approach shots: rational posts when people are busy rooting... there is no respect in this world anymore.

Not pressure. It's major disappointment going back to the decision to play Montreal with no practice beforehand . I honestly feel that cost him the USO.

Exactly and I feel like the big man has been moving worse and worse as the match has progressed and that's expected. It's not like DP is playing well tonight.

What about Delpo? My post doesn't have anything to do with him and why should it? No one here is expecting him to win anyway so why keep bringing up the guy's health?

You mean whining... There's barely any rooting going on here... :D
