Sock's done! He allowed himself to big a hole to climb out of and dropped it in 3! :nono:  :banghead:
A very good job by Thompson there, to dismiss Sock, who has been not at his best for months now.

Watching Deminaur vs. Them. I like the young Aussie, he has a solid ROS and he is good scraper.

I thought Sock was going to keep rising. Do you know what's going on with him [or not going on]?

Today I was coming home from work, reading a NYTimes article about Zverer, and all of his extra-curricular obligations due to being #4 seed, and the next big hopeful, only to come home, turn on the TV coverage, and see a personality piece on him. I was wondering if all of this distraction might be too much. That's one of the reasons why I don't think he'll make the final. But he's definitely showing nerves and pressure here. I think he'll get out of this, but what do you guys think about the distractions and the noise for young Sasha?

If the articles I have read about him are accurate, he has a great support system [parents and brother]. He is aware that he has a lot of "body work" to do and aims to "build up." I will look for the Times' article.

As much as I like him, and for all that he has accomplished this year, I don't expect him to reach the final. He is tired by now. And additional obligations? YIKES There are only 24 hours in a day.

This is one of the weirdest, most random posts I've ever read on a tennis forum - so much so that I can't tell if you're being serious or not. Well done, I guess?
I'm still laughing. One of the funniest posts I've read recently.

Nadal couldn't have wished for a better first round opponent. He will eat his bh alive.
