Sorry GG. I had family in town this weekend, but they're gone now (thank goodness). Now I can actually watch a tennis match and post like a fan. :D

I didn't create the original sig O thread, but I don't see why you couldn't add a blurb about who you would like to see together.

Serena comes through 6-3 6-3. She'll have to raise her level just a tad in the QF as Flavia is playing well.

It's summer time and family gatherings, great memories always come out of such.

Serena created her own memory, advanced to quarters to face Flavia, 2 veterans going at it.

Some stats:
Serena: 19 winners--16 UE --5/9 breaks--59 points
Kaia: 11 winners--13 UE--2/2 breaks --45 points

Don't know whether she needs to raise level against Pennetta, but she definitely needs to if she makes semifinal.

With the exception of serving for the match, Serena had an excellent serving match. She had at least 8 aces and many unreturned serves. Her return game left much to be desired. She has squandered many breakpoints in the last two matches and has dumped easy balls into the net, especially on the forehand wing. She will face a stronger opponent in Penetta, who is a pretty crafty all court player.

I have a story to tell about Donald and Taylor...
For now I am going to tease you all with other scores.

The #2 Doubles team falls behind in the first set. Score 2-5 they serve to stay in the set. Peng is #2 in doubles you know.
Kimiko/Barbie are giving them a run for the money.

It would be great if they were to win this event. It could do wonders for their motivation and confidence in their singles games.

I have heard rumours that the no 2 doubles team will be splitting up after the USO?
Have you heard these rumours at all?

Agree, the mixed doubles event is where we see some unexpected winner's at times.
I think all players benefit playing doubles if helps them with their singles game.

That's why I like when Serena plays doubles. I believe it helps her game in singles.
