Vika will have to win in 3 as Cornet takes the 1st set. Perhaps, Serena should be watching this match to see what gives Vika the fits.

I hope Cornet can keep up this level; she is really playing well and taking it to Vika. If she can keep it close, she might just be able to get Vika.

Serena can look at other matches, but she knows what needs to happen out there. She needs to get out of her own way and be aggressive. Her tendency lately has been getting tight and tentative instead of controlling the point.

Azarenka is struggling...with Redfool away with groupies in Aussie a lot could be on her mind.

Azarenka thrives on pace and Cornet doesnt give her the pace she wants...

So much for an easy draw Kiu. Dani is down a set and 3-1 to Glusko

Yeah, I saw the scoreboard. Flavia's always done well at the Open. She's been QF a few times.

Still doesn't hurt to take a peak ;).
Especially when she lost the last 2
She did not lose the last two. Vika won in Doha, Serena won in Rome (I think), Vika won in Conn.

Hooty makes it through to the 4th after dropping the tiebreak to Cornet. Hopefully a good wakeup call for her.

I stand corrected.
I am sure you meant Cincy as the last encounter.
But it's still 2-1 for the year.

4 match point for the new Julia, all saved by Dani.

this is the match to watch, 2 and 1/2 hour and running, last game took over 8 minutes.
