No you don't. You post silly things assuming what you think people want and it just comes across as annoying. For the record, if Federer doesn't win this I'd like Djokovic to win it. Seeing as that means Djokovic is catching up to Federer why exactly would I want that unless maybe as I said I actually do like him and his game? It's really not hard to understand and you should stop trying to assume what people want or think and keep it to yourself. I was gonna just ignore your post but frankly it's annoying the way you think you can post this nonsense and label all fans of one player in the same boat with just a silly notion that pops into your head. Also, seeing as Nadal isn't even in this tournament any longer and got beaten by someone other than Novak, why did you feel the need to even type what you did? It makes no sense.

Not more silly things than you say. Your comments obviously say very clearly what you want unless they are "fake". And I said from the beginning of my comment that "some of the Federer's fans" and I see what fast you got the hint, why?
My comments are based on what I see and what other people say (not only here) and believe me lol you know it even better than me, many Federer's fans wants and wish what I said, S.O.S. someone has to stop Nadal

Yes and as I pointed out just about everyone is beating Nadal now so the main reason for my objection to your post is bringing Novak into things for no reason. Nadal has only lost to him in one slam this year because he didn't even make it far enough to play him anywhere else. So that comment was just pointless and annoying. I like Novak's game, so do many other Federer fans because, while Novak is also a superb defender, his game isn't as defensive as Nadal or Murray and hence why we actually like his game and not for the reason that you felt the need to share with everyone and annoy the fanbase by doing so for no reason while we're just sitting here minding our own business.

I don't care who you like or not, if you are saying the true or not. I SAID that some of Federere's fans want and like anyone who can stop Nadal, of course they think on Novak because he is playing better that the others, at least at the present. But dont't worry, Nadal is beating himself, before was bc his injuries, now his mind
And by the way I have not any idea with whom you are talking about tennis out of here but I'd like that you would have a good conversation with the Federes's fan that I know and what they really think about Novak, very different way than you. They are "some" of those :D

I'm kind of curious to see who rafa fans will pick as their new favorite. Murray is an obvious candidate as he is most likely to protect some of Nadals records and greatness via a vis Djokovic and federer.

Ummm...since Roger owns almost every non-clay court record in the modern era...what's there to protect? 10 straight years of winning a Slam - when 9 of the years included Nadal's beloved clay at the French Open? Not really a record anyone's going to break any time soon - especially not Murray who's 12 years into his career, is 28 and only has 2 Slam titles. Second most Slams at 14? Djokovic MAY get there, but that's assuming he remains injury free wins #10 at the US Open and can keep the young guns at bay for another 2-3 years, when he'll be 30 and everyone will be asking when is HE going to retire - unless he completes a Calendar Slam - which just ain't gonna happen.

Murray is barring upsets the single biggest threat for both Djokovic and Federer to winning more slams. Every slam Novak wins, he gets closer to Nadals 14. Every slam Federer wins distances him further from Rafa. You may think Rafa's 14 is safe against Novak. I wouldn't be that sure.

I'm not saying it's not doable for Novak to get to 14. I just think in order to get there he needs to win the US Open this year. Given that he'll be 29 when next year's French Open rolls around - it gets harder and hard to rack up Slams - especially on clay. Nadal was in the Aussie final in 2014 and won the French Open, too. Who could have ever predicted he'd lose it so quickly after his wrist injury and appendicitis? There are so many intangibles for these guys and as we've seen Federer, who's still competing for Slam semis and finals and close to winning at 34 - he's an exception to the rule - not the norm. Nadal is 29 and can't even make it to the quarters of anything but the French. The line between greatness and mediocrity is very thin these days.

Also, you managed to obscure my original point which was that Rafa doesn't really have that many "records" that Murray winning Slams instead of DJokovic protects.. Most of the major NON-CLAY records belong to Roger Federer and unless Rafa gets his head out of his ass - he can't even protect his #2 spot from Djoknovic let alone threaten Roger at #1. And please don't bring up the Rafa\Roger H2H. Most of Rafa's wins were on clay and they were about even on other srufaces until 2013. The fact that they didn't play more often on hard courts and grass is on Rafa - not Roger. Roger was there for just about every semi or every final. Rafa's the one who lost before the finals of non-clay tournaments. (To clarify - I'm talking about pre-Djokovic.)

For the most part the "Big 3" have delivered and gotten the most out of their ability and careers; on and off the court! Murray's definitely underachieved and has no excuse other than the others were just so much better! I personally think he should have won more; esp. against Federer who he started out the best record-wise! This is Nole's time and I hope he can continue and add to his record! :dodgy: :popcorn

Ummm...I'm guessing they'll continue to root for Rafa?

Alternatively, we can pull a Fed-fans and pull for whoever last beat Novak (in their case, the last one to beat Rafa). And, if Fed starts beating Novak frequently, we'll root for him and claim "I never had a problem with Federer. I've always enjoyed and respected his game" because unfortunately the old forums are no longer here to call bull$hit on that statement.

Yeah, you have to chuckle at the bit about Novak not being as defensive as Rafa and that's why the Fedfans love him... :laydownlaughing :lolz:

You're assuming too much. While Novak had his fair share of questionable behavior early on, he has actually toned it down for years now. Some of us actually appreciate Novak's game and the way he carries himself. I could care less how many times he beats Roger. Meanwhile, my dislike for Rafa and his scumbag uncle have nothing to do with their wins over Federer. Contrary to you, I don't think tennis revolves around Federer. His legacy is secure, he's the GOAT to anyone who isn't biased, and he's done enough winning for us Fed fans to feel secure enough about his accomplishments. If I'm going to dislike every player for beating Federer I would have disliked Nalbandian, who owned Roger early on.

I've discussed on numerous occasions why I dislike the balding Spanish tw*t so I'm not going to get into that again. But off the top of my head, I can think of his time wasting, his fake humility, his diva act, and his time wasting, as well as all around bad sportsmanship. Just ask Petzschner, who Nadal completely threw off his game with a bogus medical timeout in Wimbledon a few years back before frauding his way into a victory. Dustin Brown forced Rafa to play at his own rhythm and didn't fall for his shameful antics, and we saw the result.

But keep believing my hatred for Nadal is related to his H2H vs. Roger.

Fair enough, didn't want to obscure your point. Was just more interested in their overall standing vis a vis each other. I do think the h2h matters, but yeah bearing a miracle, I think Rafa's chances to get closer to Federer are slim.
