Didn't like the dips in play today by Roger, but happy he made it through in 3. Going to have to step his game up more than this if he wants to win the whole thing though.

What happened to Vesely against Isner; another default due to heat? Any bets he'll still wind up exhausted and unable to cope with the old man Monday? :nono  :dodgy: :cover :p

There's only so tired you can get from standing on the baseline and serving missiles :p

Unfortunately Isner has the same mindset of Rafa and Murray; other than the serve he just waits you out from the baseline! He'll win a smaller summer event, maybe make another semi or final, but is usually spent and is upset at the USO! I can only remember him doing one significant thing at this event and it was upsetting Roddick several years ago; big deal! His matches just drag on due to his mental faculties being fatigued for some reason! As tall as he is, he should be attacking the net all the time! A real idiot there; wasted talent! :cover :puzzled :nono  :dodgy:

Come on, Isner has made the most of his talents. Where has he wasted his talent? It's like the big diss that Ferrer always gets around here, people mocking him, when actually he's probably the best example you could show to kids learning the game of a fella who has limited skills but a huge attitude and effort on court.

Give me these kinda blokes over the showy clowns, any day of the week...

I believe a number of players have wasted their talent by being stubborn like Ferrer, Berdych, Tsonga, and so many others who could do more to win in a timely fashion! They grab smaller events, maybe make a major final, but overall they've wasted their time! How many times are they at MP or 2 points from upsetting an elite player? Too often to count when they lose it! JW had 4 MP's against Nole at the FO a couple years ago; totally blew it and faded in the 5th! It's frustrating to see over and over again which is why I find other things to watch at times! Rafa pulled a Berdych by being so close; 2 sets to love and a break to F3! He's like all the rest now and faded against someone he should own! :cover -At least it was entertaining to see last night! It's not like I want to see upsets, but they don't seem to happen enough to make it worthwhile! Rafa winning 9 FO; that's gutlessness from his opponents, not his fighting spirit! :nono :dodgy:

Jo-W is a different kettle of fish to Ferrer. He's bigger and has huge weapons. Ferrer is more limited but has run down fellers twice his size without fear. He's done as much as he can with his talent.

Berdy is a different story altogether. The Top 10 Sticky. Never wins anything, far as I can recall, just goes a few rounds then blows his stack. Straw Balls... :popcorn

epic..the Donald wastes test dodger troiki in 5 after being 2 sets down..

the last 2 blokes you'd have to make comebacks from 0-2 down would prob be the Donald and flaky but fabulous Fabio..

Federer played well when he needed to, on the big points, not as well as 1st 2 rds where he was almost flawless. still, cannot grumble about federers play since the he just beat the same opponent in halle 1st rd..

Federer's on a 19-1 win/loss run since the start of halle. nice one Cyril.
