Come on Muzz, I want to see you winning this USO :plot

That was a quick jumping on to a new bandwagon. Fiero would be proud of you, Carole. :lolz:

Just because they are rooting for a player doesn't mean they switched sides or went jumping into the other dugout. What is this, the Tennis Monogomy Fan Site? Just because you sleep with Nadal doesn't mean you can't dabble on the side with Murray while Nadal is away. When Nadal is still in the neighborhood and you're playing with Djokovic, now that there's a Tennis Fan Caitlyn Jenner moment.

Come on, there is a mandatory mourning period of at least 24 hours before rooting for other players. :laydownlaughing

I'm kind of curious to see who rafa fans will pick as their new favorite. Murray is an obvious candidate as he is most likely to protect some of Nadals records and greatness via a vis Djokovic and federer.

Ummm...since Roger owns almost every non-clay court record in the modern era...what's there to protect? 10 straight years of winning a Slam - when 9 of the years included Nadal's beloved clay at the French Open? Not really a record anyone's going to break any time soon - especially not Murray who's 12 years into his career, is 28 and only has 2 Slam titles. Second most Slams at 14? Djokovic MAY get there, but that's assuming he remains injury free wins #10 at the US Open and can keep the young guns at bay for another 2-3 years, when he'll be 30 and everyone will be asking when is HE going to retire - unless he completes a Calendar Slam - which just ain't gonna happen.

My "new favourite" is the same as my old favourite: Rafa Nadal. There's nobody compares to Rafa, and in terms of protecting his records, he built them records by facing - and beating - the best players of his time. He has nothing to protect, and he certainly doesn't need anyone else to win matches for him...

Murray is barring upsets the single biggest threat for both Djokovic and Federer to winning more slams. Every slam Novak wins, he gets closer to Nadals 14. Every slam Federer wins distances him further from Rafa. You may think Rafa's 14 is safe against Novak. I wouldn't be that sure.

In this tourney? I won't watch any more of it, I'm away to Malta in a couple of days...

I'm a tennis fan before I'm a Murray (or whoever) fan. Even though I don't like Nadal, I always watched him pile up French after French. You can't call yourself a tennis fan is you don't watch the greatest clay court player of all time make his mark in history. Or watch the potentially greatest hard court player of all time make his mark. Djokovic could very well end up with that title as well.

I'm not hypocrite like some Federer's fans who are rooting for Novak and they know exactly why (and NOT because they like him) but don't worry, Novak is not the one who could stop Rafa to reach the 17 or more, Rafa is the only one to decide what and how to do it
I always have been a Muzz fan, I like his smart game even that he has gone through bad times like Rafa is going now. And YES, hope he wins this USO!
Any inconvenience Roger's and Novak's fans? :D

Think what you want Carol. Some of us actually like Novak's game. Nadal can't even make it to face Novak in the final so how is he going to win more slams exactly or any bigger than 500 tournaments for that matter? Novak doesn't need to intervene and stop anyone 'cos there's Fognini, Darcis, Brown, Rosol, Berdych and tons of other donkeys that will do the job nicely in the early rounds. Any inconvenience Nadal and Murray's fan ?

No you don't. You post silly things assuming what you think people want and it just comes across as annoying. For the record, if Federer doesn't win this I'd like Djokovic to win it. Seeing as that means Djokovic is catching up to Federer why exactly would I want that unless maybe as I said I actually do like him and his game? It's really not hard to understand and you should stop trying to assume what people want or think and keep it to yourself. I was gonna just ignore your post but frankly it's annoying the way you think you can post this nonsense and label all fans of one player in the same boat with just a silly notion that pops into your head. Also, seeing as Nadal isn't even in this tournament any longer and got beaten by someone other than Novak, why did you feel the need to even type what you did? It makes no sense.

Think of it this way. You like defensive players so you like Nadal and Murray. I like aggressive players so I like Federer and Djokovic and many others who play that kind of tennis and that's all there is to it from point my side anyway. Can't speak for others and you shouldn't try to either.

Not more silly things than you say. Your comments obviously say very clearly what you want unless they are "fake". And I said from the beginning of my comment that "some of the Federer's fans" and I see what fast you got the hint, why?
My comments are based on what I see and what other people say (not only here) and believe me lol you know it even better than me, many Federer's fans wants and wish what I said, S.O.S. someone has to stop Nadal
