So there's one less threat in Serena's half. Though, I don't think she was ever going to get to Serena anyways. But still, she's a two time slam champ and a former champ here. Sad to see her go. Back to the men's side of things for me now. Rubin v. Delbonis. Or maybe Querrey v. Gonzalez. They've just entered a 5th set.

Si, I am rooting for Petra, not picking her. Most fans know she will not get far here.

If Serena does not win. I want Ana, Halep, Petra, Kuzy, Aga, Vika, Venus, Stosur. My list is long. Anybody other than the screamer.

Panetta, with a ton of points to defend, is getting started with Georges soon. Georges hasn't been good in a while, but she's got talent and ability. So you never know.

Now Bouchard and Govortsova can get on court now that Querrey finally put Gonzalez away. And we'll get to see if Bouchard will make it to Cirstea. That could be a really good match if Cirstea is playing as well as she seems to have played against Watson. Was top 30 back in March in Miami. Rough season though and she's down to 80. So good. Had some injuries over the years or else I think she'd be a top 20 staple. We'll see.

As for Panetta v. Georges, the commentators are currently talking about how the match seems to be on Georges racquet, but she's just hitting so many errors. Panetta is the mentally stronger player and of course the veteran with all of the extra experience.

And Panetta will take the first set. Came up with a great return of serve winner to get back to deuce and then won the set from there.

^Yeah when Flavia first came back from her injury, I felt she was on fire and now she's kind of fizzled. Hopefully, it wasn't the 'Fabio' wet blanket that put out her fire

Georges up a break now, but struggling in her own service game. Some wild mis hits.

But then a a few good serves and she holds the game actually. So a pretty good little battle here. I think I'm pulling for Georges. A little underdog rooting but also just never been to big a fan of Panetta and when Georges was top 20 I was bit of a fan.

I am Petra fan and something tells me it could be different this time. I don't say she is going to win it all but we will see after her first two matches. If she wins it easily then she will get far and the semi with Serena would be great.

It was definitely the Fabio factor. Ever since they hooked up and went public, she's done nothing and neither has he for that matter.

In the left hand corner go to User CP. Then on the left under Miscellaneous look for Buddy/Ignore. Add that persons username and choose Ignore.

I'm watching on UsOpen.org. She looks just fine to me. I think she just needs to find her rhythm against Doi. I was watching her presser before the match and she mentioned she never really played her?? don't know whether that's true or not, she may have forgotten.
