Fair enough AP. I for one am hopeful that balding bich is knocked out of New York as quick as possible. It's been a long ten year wait to see Wafa go slamless for a season. Hope he doesn't disappoint yet again. A slamless year here and losses at AO and RG next year should be enough to bury him foreva

Darth my good fellow, I don't consider you a Rafa critic, you just don't care for Rafa very existence on this planet. I can appreciate your candor and honesty

You think Nadal will beat Djokovic?

The question is did you think that anyone would beat Djokovic last year? No, I would suggest that you tell us how this will all pan out over the next two weeks.

rafa through as expected..vamos, coric in his 1st ever massive match on centre court at a major did well, bouncing back to win a set, his forehand will improve, he's 18 for chrissakes, he hit 2 classic dtl winners with it, they were positively nadalesque.

and an 18yr old who steps into the court to hit a drive volley winner can't be doing too much wrong. next task for coric is to shore up any autumn rank points he won in 2014, like in basle, and look to be seed for ao2016 which is more than doable.
Coric is definitely a very raw talent, I think it was a very tricky 1st round match for the dirt devil.

Never, Djokovic is unbeatable and Rafa besides is playing bad he is not a good player and he is not improving anything. I can't believe that he has reached 14 GS and has better H2H than the #1, 2 and 3 players having had some injuries and been out of the court so many times and so long

Oops, someone has told me "never say never"

Google "non-sequitur" and then quickly Google "straw man." You've managed to do both.

My question was clear: Do you think Nadal will beat Djokovic at the 2015 US Open. I didn't ask whether Nadal is an all-time great and a fantastic tennis player, because we all know he is.

So again, do you think Nadal will beat Novak Djokovic if they play next week?

I have not a crystal ball and many things can happen this and the next week but you have my answer at the end of my comment above, read it again......

Djokovic vs Nadal is going to be brutal to watch.

Fingers crossed it will happen! Let's hope Lopez or Raonic will not ruin this party. :popcorn

I didn't ask you to tell me what WILL happen. I'm asking you to tell me what do you think will happen. So no crystal ball involved, just a prediction. Because if you're going to be posting things like "some funny comments this morning," back it up by providing your own.

What's funny about saying Novak will beat Nadal if they play?

^Hmm yeah, don't know. What is funny is that Carol joined this forum simultaneously with Rafa's level falling off a cliff. The justifications for a poor performance and the 'wait and see' posts have been entertaining enough.

It's not funny about saying Novak will beat Nadal if they play but the way that you said it ;)
And to finish this silly conversation, I don't like to make predictions because we don't know what is going to happen but let me put it on this way. If Rafa would bring up his best , yes, definitely he will beat Novak. If Novak plays his best and Rafa continues in that tunnel/bad spell then he will beat Rafa for sure but I don't think it would be a "massacre" . This is my answer and how I'm thinking.
Of course this is a bold thinking because maybe Rafa or Novak won't be able to reach the quarters , you never know

Why the nadalities have to come here when there are enough federites and djokovites commentarists during the Rafa's match? :snicker

Miss Carol I am hoping Mr Tented will give some of them a temporary pardon to post during the next two weeks. "Come Samson, come Hunting You and All, for hopefully two more weeks to sing the praises of one Rafael Nadal."

Clay Death (née Samson) & HuntingYou have never been banned. They're free to post whenever they wish.

No Tented.. I wasn't saying they have been banned but something cause them to leave. With Kirean on his current sabbatical, not many Rafa fans left but Carol to deal with the "BS".

What's the BS? Carol spews a fair amount of it herself.

Have you seen with who I has to deal? It's ok, there are worse and more serious things to deal everyday that that
