Pavlik please, look for the Rafa's excellent volley in the fourth set when he was 4-3 and 30-15. I'd love to see that point again, sublime! thanks in advance! :clap

If that's the final we know the drill...Rafa wouldn't need to show up. But that won't be the final.

Well my friend that is why this is a game, a sport which those two terms are exclusive. There's no absolute in sports so we really don't know what may happen. Even if Rafa wins, at the end of the day all there is left are the words of his critics and all their "BS".

Fair enough AP. I for one am hopeful that balding bich is knocked out of New York as quick as possible. It's been a long ten year wait to see Wafa go slamless for a season. Hope he doesn't disappoint yet again. A slamless year here and losses at AO and RG next year should be enough to bury him foreva

Miss Carol I am hoping Mr Tented will give some of them a temporary pardon to post during the next two weeks. "Come Samson, come Hunting You and All, for hopefully two more weeks to sing the praises of one Rafael Nadal."

Even when he wins, his critics and their #@..when Roger plays , there may be some on this boards that may be upset that Jesus Christ himself doesn't sit in Federer's team box

rafa through as expected..vamos, coric in his 1st ever massive match on centre court at a major did well, bouncing back to win a set, his forehand will improve, he's 18 for chrissakes, he hit 2 classic dtl winners with it, they were positively nadalesque.

and an 18yr old who steps into the court to hit a drive volley winner can't be doing too much wrong. next task for coric is to shore up any autumn rank points he won in 2014, like in basle, and look to be seed for ao2016 which is more than doable.

Wafa playing decent but nothing special. Coric just not doing much right, bad returning and the forehand has completely broken down.

"Wafa playing decent but nothing special."

I am just hoping he gets an opportunity to send his topspin fh to your beloved's bh two weeks from today. So we can finally settle this sh#t once and 4EVER

What $hit could possibly be settled in that meeting that wasn't settled in the previous 33 matches that they played?

Djokovic vs Nadal is going to be brutal to watch.

If they make it! Neither have been that impressive of late IMO; esp. Nadal! At least Nole made it to finals of Canada and Cincy, but he had to fight to get there! He found a way I guess; can Nadal? :puzzled :nono  :dodgy: :p

What do you mean by brutal? As in a brutal beatdown? If that is the case BS, you of all people should know that this isn't anything new.

Yes, a brutal beatdown. And yeah, it's new. This is the first year where anyone can safely predict Nadal is going to get crushed by a particular player.

If you ask me, I want him to go out earlier so that he could reflect on the loss and such. I would likely throw up if he gets obliterated in the quarters and then says:
He is the #1 player in the world, of course he would win, I tried my best, no?

Had to go to sleep in the third set, but I was quite impressed by what I saw from Rockville. Was very refreshing and icy actually lost that said in one of the tight forcep. I think this is good for him. , And by the way, it is good for all of us tennis fans.

Very disappointing loss by Vasek Pospisil yesterday to Haider-Maurer, who never did anything on HC before
