Just saw the result and so called highlights.
For me is maximum disappointment .
I gained some hope after the last match. It is what it is.
Now I can watch emotional free, not that bad:facepalm:.

It's not so bad, at least Nadal is still in the tournament... So cheer up buddy! :smooch:

Tons to go before that. Roger has to stare down destiny at this tournament or be destroyed by it. I want him to fuck everyone up, he's claimed a couple souls recently, has to claim some more.
Rafa staring down destiny, as well. Time for Nadal to rip Roger's heart out, as he has done so many times.

I thought Fed didn't like the conditions at night here.

Don't know whether he likes it or not. But am sure he has no choice.

But, I like it. The reason is that he will anyway has to play the SF and F in the night time conditions.
It is best to get used to those conditions against Baby, than being suddenly thrown into those conditions.
He played the opening match against Nagal at night time. But, after that the other three matches have
been in day time.

Isn't the final during the day?

fakervic faking injury when getting his ass kicked by Stanimal. What a sad guy.

Anyway, congrats Stan! Fantastic result for tennis and humanity.

Hope Cilic takes care of the other pusher.

Well. Good for Stan the Man. Great effort from him. He looked great. It's good to have him back to the top of his game. I will give Djokovic's niggling injury some credit. It probably did help Stan out. But not much. Tonight was mostly Stan. Djokovic was moving fine. The shoulder didn't effect that. Stan just out him. As he is prone to do. As someone said. He's Djokovic's Kryptonite. Or at least the closest thing he's got to it. The fact that he's not the favorite against Fed or Nadal, is irrelevant. He can beat Djokovic and that's good enough. He's done it 4 times in slams now. Wild to think they haven't played since Wawrinka beat him here in 2016. Also. Something I noticed going back over the h2h. Djokovic has won all but one of the tiebreaks they've played. It's like 8 or 9 to 1.

And there's a good chance that Rafa is still Roger's KN. Don't get too cocky yet.

My gut feeling was correct this time. I knew if Djokovic's shoulder was bothering him, Stan will make him suffer and work with the rallies. It's unfortunate that Djokovic had to retire but it is very smart of him to do it. No need to continue playing especially if you are two sets down.

As for Wawrinka, it must be a great feeling for him to finally playing at a high level. When he is confident and fit, he is fun to watch.

One last thing: This is why it will be hard to predict on whether or not Djokovic or Nadal will surpass Federer on the slam's count. There's too many variables that can happen to derail their pursuits. Federer was one point away from winning his 21st slam but Djokovic won the match and title. But right now, Djokovic was force to retire because of a nagging injury. That's why at this point of their careers and age, they need every break and luck they can get so they can maximize their opportunity to win a slam. Because they know deep down, everything can change really quick!
