Yeah but he played matches this tournament where he was having way more problems with his elbow and suffering visibly much more but didn’t stop playing because he was winning. Get the point?
As a fan of Nadal, I would think it would serve you to understand the point that a player can look well during a match, and yet be suffering with a lingering injury. It's about giving it all and suffering for the win. Nadalfan2013, if you don't get that then, there has never been much injury for Nadal, either...it's all fake. Simply used as an excuse for losing a match. Is that the side of the fence you're on?

Different match ups. Roger rushes Stan like nobody's business. Not saying impossible but in form Roger takes care of business.
Federer has to serve well. He looks easily breakable. He was broken twice by Gioffin, who was injured.

Don't treat me like a twat. I get it. I'm just asking people to own how idiotic it is.

Wasn't sure you got the beginning of it. Of course it is idiotic... that's why it is fun. Every man has the right to behave like an eight year old. I like to exercise it a lot!

I didn't watch the match but when following the scores, I thought if Stan takes the second set, we'll likely see a retirement rather than the Swiss cleaning up in straights.

Federer Nadal likely to happen at USO finally woohoo!

Tons to go before that. Roger has to stare down destiny at this tournament or be destroyed by it. I want him to fuck everyone up, he's claimed a couple souls recently, has to claim some more.

OK I understand... So if Djokovic was leading 6-4, 7-5, 1-0 he would have also stopped playing. Thanks for your help.

I agree with you. But, before Roger gets chance to rush Stan, I think Med will rush him out of the tourney. Med also plays really fast game. I don't think Stan will get his time, especially when returning serves.

Oh, I've been hearing about Stan and the man-boobs for months. You have the right the behave like an 8-year old and I have the right to complain about the basement humor...fair?

Yeah there is a reason Stan has never won against Roger off clay. Now if they meet here which is still a big if, it'd be a night match which would make Stan dangerous. If they play in anything medium to fast paced Stan usually can't make it competitive.

Maybe not, but he wasn't. If he'd have been ahead he might have pressed on, even given peril to his shoulder. Players are optimistic, and think they might just get through. He's done it before, let's face it. So has Nadal. Get to the next round and hope you feel better. But Novak was too far behind, and cut his losses. Fair enough.

He really has to seize the moment now. It's there on a platter for him to take it.

Based on his level at Wimbledon, I liked his chances at this US Open even if he had to play Djokovic. I like them even better now obviously. But there are no excuses for him not to take this tournament now. It's right there.

He has to seize it.

Also, this loss probably means that they will probably put Fed's QF for the night session.
