Alex Popyrin will defeat PCB.

Perhaps, Herbert could upset Kandy.

Who said this is an upset? It is only for fools, like me, that thought "oh, maybe this is the time this guys breaks through and goes deep, let's put this in my draw...."
So what made you think he would have a breakthrough? Have you seen some improvement somewhere?

(a bit more serious now)

Ok, I thought that the last RG was a (small) step forward... and he is a decent grass court player. Thought, OK, to repeat quarters is doable, maybe one step forward... (actually just checked and I had him losing on quarters again).

For me, his QF in Paris was a reiteration of last year QF, in other words, his best surface is clay.
That means I see no improvements with him technically.
And mentally, this year Sasha is struggling so here you go. I still think other young players will catch-up to his level before him winning a slam.

^Wow logging in to see Zverev and Tsitsipas both out on day 1 is shocking

Surprising results. It is hard to be bummed out when Zverev loses, though - he has become a fun player to root against, due to his pouty, entitled demeanor.

Tsitisipas, though, is disappointing, if only because he was one of the only players in Novak's quarter that might make things interesting.

Monfils upset by his younger compatriot Humbert. I know he was hurt, but it is still one seed less.

Another seed eliminated is Lajovic by Hurkacz. This should not come as a big surprise, Lajovic is more a clay court player, plus Hurkacz I'd a good server.

I hear Mrzz, though, and I picked him to go deep...I figured it was a tough first round, but he had an OK draw if he got through. Plus, sort of like Dimitrov (though I hope NOT like Dimitrov, if you take my meaning,) it's easy to think that maybe this is the tournament where he turns it around. Back to the drawing board.
And I'm very disappointed about Tsitsipas losing.

I picked Hurkacz to win that one. He's been trending. As you say, upset, but not really a surprise.

Lajovic got upset --- He is the projected 3rd round seeded opponent of Novak

Monfils got upset --- He is the projected 4th round seeded opponent of Novak

Tsitsipas got upset --- He is the projected QF opponent of Novak.

Is this a coincidence or some Novak fan indulging in food poisoning?

Only FAA can stop Novak in his quarter now.

Oh dear, you Roger fans are beyond ridiculous. You expect a 18 y old who is debuting at Wimbledon to stop the 4 time champion. Good luck then.
