Can´t wait to get the highlights from Brown x Kyrgios.

If JMdP can beat a top 4 guy without a proper backhand, I wonder what he could when/if he is fully fit. I really would like to see him blowing people off the court.

Del Po was a tough cookie back "in the day!" He's hurt all the top players in Majors, Olympics, and Masters' events! Stan took him too lightly and panicked from the few points I saw in highlights! I like his game, but who goes through so much; 3 surgeries alone this past year to play tennis? :puzzled :nono  :cover

I have to say it was very reassuring and pleasing to see JMDP back on Centre Court, twacking the ball like it's 2009 again. It didn't even feel like an upset, even though it was, of course.

It didn't seem like an upset did it?!

Poetic justice would be for him to give old Murray a five set marathon match to prep the Scot for his final. :snicker

Heh heh, glad to see the Djokolites still clinging to the myth of fatigue. Poor Djoker! Try organic eggs next time, sucka!

Very affirming.

There is a difference between physical fatigue and the mental wear of a match in which almost every point is contested.

Oh brother, I was sure you were being tongue in cheek the first time, and I joined in as wingman. :laydownlaughing

Come on, buddy, he bottled that final. He wasn't so knackered he got collected in straights. He dropped a lump sum of zero sets on the way to the semis. :popcorn

Now down 2 sets to love. If Novak is to come back it will have to be completed tomorrow. No way they can finish a 5-set brothel at this late hour.

Querrey on fire. Djokovic down 5-1 in the 2nd set now.

Not watching, but I won't believe he's gone until it's a done deal! He's fully capable of withstanding this onslaught to win in 5! All great players have had to do it! :dodgy:  :cover

What happened in the match, is Novak injured or is Sudden Sam playing that well.

According to what I hear, he appeared out of it; totally disinterested! Boris will smack him around tonight!

On Day 5, there was just one upset, even though it did not feel like one (JMDP ousting Man).

For Day 6, I call for five upsets. My percentage of confidence that it will happen is given in parentheses.
Needless to say, all percentages will be greater than 50%, as otherwise I am not projecting them.

1. JMDP to oust seeded Lucas Pouille (100%)
2. Bernard Tomic to take out RBA (100%)
3. Sam Querry to end CYGS (75%)
4. Feliciano Lopez to oust Kyrgios (60%)
5. Jack Sock to eliminate Milos (55%)

Pressure I guess. Big server, fast grass first week. Bad combo. Same thing last year with Anderson but less pressure then. Possible the weather and stoppage saves him two straight years.

The Milos projection is pretty bold. I like it. :D

And he's out. Really hope JMDP can strengthen his backhand...so many slices

slices on grass are OK but on hardcourt....he could be in trouble soon, hope he can hit a backhand one day or another

It sounds like JMDP's doctor has told him he can hit it, but I think uncertainty and a bit of pain here and there keep him from really working on it.

:puzzled

You've seen the way Cougar Bait has been playing the last year, is this really an upset?

Down 5-6, 0-30 on his serve when the rains came. They showed the two points, and if he'd challenged the calls he would have won both of them. :cover :nono
