She is going home. Coco Puffs serving for it. Who told ES to wear that belly top?

KS.. ES isn't going to be a big time player, I would suggest for all her fans to lower their expectations for her to be a grand slam champion. Sloane has regressed. Sloane had the footwork of USTA 4.0 player. Sloan bh is just to block the ball back in play not really striking the ball with a purpose. If I was her coach, I would suggest for him to have her go to Coney Island beach, find a nice secluded spot, make like an ostrich and stick her head in. At that point maybe that little girl will listen. She had no business loosing to Coco. Sloane as usual played down to the level of her competition.

I'm not expecting her to be a big match player, but a R1 loss to Puffy at her home slam is unacceptable.

This is your one-stop to discuss upsets. You may discuss upsets that are projected, that are brewing and that has already happened. I won't define what qualifies as an upset and let you be judge of it.
What upsets are you expecting on day 1 to begin with?

I am expecting the following first round upsets.

1. Sloane to be taken out by Coco
2. Genie to be taken out by Riske
3. Kuzzie to be taken out by Kristina.

Ana and Venus have tough matches, but I think they will come through in the end.

I got 2 out of 3. Genie crashed my hopes of a clean sweep. In a day of upsets, Genie winning can be considered an upset though. :snicker

Woo hoo, Pliskova worked so hard for that US Open Series win, and she is going home with an extra 15k for her troubles of exiting in the first round.

I know it's a home slam for both. I stand by my statement. That's an unacceptable loss for the 29 seed

And this half already lost Masha before start time, so 7 of the 16 (and 3 of the Top 4) are out after the first round.
